If anyone wants to see how it turned out....

I have NO idea yet, how he'll react. Hopefully it won't make him mad! LOL If anyone else thinks it may help win over a reluctant spouse, feel free to use it!

And Jo...I gave up on subtle a long time ago with regards to any reptile desires I may have. He becomes deliberately blind to anything but the most loud and clear... LOL

Heheheee....thanks all! Just a quick update: He saw his desktop and looked confused at first and said, "What the heck happened here?" .....Then it sank in and he laughed and studied it and laughed some more. Then asked me when exactly Mother's Day was. :bounce:

The rest we'll just have to wait and see what May 14th brings......

    here's hopin'!

Are there any particular patterns/morphs you are looking forward to Judy? Or are you more looking for anything you can get?:D

What was I thinking! Of course they don't get subtle! Well unless subtle is..."honey, this is what I want for Mother's Day, this is when Mother's Day is, this is where to get this item, here's the website, here's the credit card...oh....well nevermind...I already saved you the time and ordered it for myself...HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!"

LOL....yeah, that's about how subtle things need to be. I'm hoping it ends up with him letting me pick out the ones I want, but if finds his way to actually order them for me, that'd be awesome too and I'd be thrilled with whatever he picked. But I need to get their enclosure put together and all set up, so it's not like I'm expecting a box of Cresties on Sunday morning. :giggle:

I don't know all the names for Crestie markings, but I really like the ones with lots of contrast to them, whether that's flames or tigers or pinstripes or whatever, I dunno. :rolleye2: They're all wonderful, though!

My dad was so bad about remembering stuff and shopping for anything that we all had to laugh about it. He'd compliment one of us girls on some nice sweater we got for Xmas and then we'd have to inform him he bought it for us (well actually mom and his credit card did LOL).

Course this was also the man who spent an entire evening at a very packed New Year's Eve party referring to the hosts as "Bob and Sandra"....my mother couldn't get his attention (or get close enough to kick him)....Sandra being Bob's long deceased wife and the lady in question being Bob's new wife...NOT SANDRA (who was obviously too nice a lady to kick my father herself LOL) My mother could have about died of embarrassement LOL.

Yup, I'd do this as well.

Men and subtley reminds me of a great advertising campaign I saw from Robbins Brothers*.

*Robbins Bros is a huge engagement ring store in the south west or maybe just Southern California, not sure which, but they have radio spots and magaize ads all the time.

Anywho, the ad was a pull-out mini catalog from a bridal magazine that included a page of stickers that said things like "This one!" "I love it!" "Too bling" "No way", stuff like that. The idea is that the girl uses the stickers throughout the catalog on the rings she loves and hates and gives her fiance the catalog so he has a clue. Ingenious and I'm sure the guys appreciate it so they know what their girl likes without potentially uncomfortably situations like "communication". =D
