Any other sports car dorks

on here besides me? When I am not playing with my balls I can be found in the garage. My poison is BMW, here's one of them. It's a 318ti that I performed an engine transplant from a 95 m3. The car features Koni coilovers, Recaro SRD sport seats, Supersprint exhaust, Schnitzer wheels, Hella lights...ect.

It's little and fast, makes for a good time :D

By any chance did you paint those rims yourself...they almost look like they were spray painted with flat black. Where's all of the chrome! :P

I love cars, but Ive never had the time/space/tools to work on them much. I grew up doing general maintenance and helped with an engine swap, but I need a lot more hands on experience.

ive been doing a lot of research and plan on working with someone who has designed a turbo for my v6 tiburon. The results they've shown on a few test cars are pretty impressive, and I've looked into all the possibilities on tuning what I have. I still have a lot of warranty left, so I'm looking at making some changes in about 4 years or so :)

I don't have any pictures of mine, but I have a 2003 Nissan 350Z Touring in LeMans Sunset (ORANGE!) with the standard Nissan wing and matte factory rims (the first version - the current ones suck). Haven't done anything fancy with it cuz it pretty much has what I want! It goes fast and makes cops forget how to speak!*

*I've gotten one speeding ticket (on the way to Vegas, on the 15, right by Baker - yeah, I was a big dummy). Anywho, the cop was trying to be all smart with me and said: "You know, with a car with a color like this, you stick out like glue."

Stick out like glue? How about "You stick out like a sore thumb and we'll be on you like glue"? I was cracking up, but didn't say anything cuz he gave me a break since I was speeding in a construction zone (O.o!).

Thats why I like grey, blend in with the road! *wind rushes by* what who? no that wasnt a car |:)

nice rides! a few years back, had an eclipse running 20psi boost with brakes and adj. suspension, good times!!! a buddy has integra type R tricked out with a turbo and custom engine work, racing trans, adj. suspension. that little thing rocks 300hp to the wheels in a 2500lb ride!!! when i hit the lotto, i want a plain ole enzo gt! lol

Oh yeah I am a sports car lover! I have been a corvette enthusiast since the first time I remember seeing one (I was 6 or 7) my first car will be a C4 corvette. Eventually I want a C5 that I will get mods for and have a nice paint job and what not (triple black vert with ghost flames.. yeah!)

My very favorite cars are pasta rockets though. :D My dream car is the Ferrari F40. I even got to sit in one once. *melt*

All the cars in this thread are amazing....but I must content myself to sit back and admire.....at least until all the kids are grown and gone. Until then, my Honda Odyssey has no place in this thread. :P

The roads to that point are paved...we had taken Rick's F150 a bit beyond there (off road) and still got some nice "clean" photos...took the Z to the same place and it was FILTHY! Hahah...cracked us both up (having spent the morning getting it all clean and shiny). =)

My first car was a 77 datsun 280z- they are great cars to be puttin a 350 block in. Def. something I will tackle in the future

Right now I have a 2002 nissan sentra Spec-v silver- 6 speed with an intake exhaust body kit enkei rims- its loud! not the fastest, but it was what we could afford now that wasnt a VAN! just because im a mommy does NOT mean i need a freakin van! lol

I'm an 80's luxury car dork. I love my '88 Lincoln, dark titanium metallic with burgundy leather, and every option under the sun, mmmmmmmm :) My '85 is starting to shower her age, though :(

I've got some cars in the family...my dad's got a '00 S2000, my brother has a '97 240sx with a jdm sr20, upgraded turbo, lsd, nismo injection, 19" Axis wheels, etc etc etc.....both are real fun to drive.

I had a del sol i was working on...then i got into ball pythons...i had enough money saved for a b18 swap, but decided to put it into snakes instead. Much better investment IMO, but i would have loved to do both!

I have a 1993 Nissan 240sx. Its a sleeper. I dropped in a Skyline GTS-T RB25DET Engine in the Summer. Did the all the work myself by following online diagrams, write-ups and how-to's. It makes all my local 240 nut-heads drool. When I first took it to the meet, it was just a regular 240, oncer I popped the hood it was a crowd magnet. Much more torque and much nicer sound from the rb.

Here are a couple of pictures of when I had just fininshed the swap, it was dirty and I had'nt chrome/blue chrome powdercoated the valve covers and IntManifold yet. Its a pretty mean car, it has also brouight me a pretty bad rep in this city. Most girls around here are afraid of a mean ride.

BUT, however i did help my bro-in-law decided whether the Lamborghini Diablo in Black was better than the old white Countache ( i cant spell for my life so i hope i got that all right)

after the Diablo he wanted something a little more inconspicious (aaaghh i hate big words) so after a 3 week stint in the H2 he got a Jag XKR and a year later he picked the Cadillaic XLR which lasted till last summer and since then hes been using a lot of cabs till about 4 hours ago when he got the Toyota Envoy ( i think he figureing out the meaning of inconspic...inconpiciio...THAT WORD!!)

BTW this is not a joke. my bro-in-law is one of them peoples who shouldnt be allowed outside on his own with money and the problem is he's got lots of it!!! drives my sister batty.

ok since theses is a car post I think I will post mi Q here!!!:D im a nubie on car's and I have a 94 tercel, I made my on itake with 3" piping and a aire racing filter, ok wen I turne off the car it makes like a vacum sound (its only with I turn it off and at the last moment), its that normal?, I dont what anything happening to my car THX for every thing and I love these forum it got reptiles and cars!!! lol

me i like old muscle car myself the best car i ever own was my 77 pontiac trans am.
i yanked out the old 400 and replaced it with a 454 bored 30 over with daul holly double pumps, malloy ingtion hooker headers flowmasters. electric water pump and fuel pump oversize radiator and electric fans on the radiator traction bars and vette brakes all around and a rebuilt rearend and man i wish i could remember what cam and rollers i used. i used to have pics but i haven't seen that car in ten years at least

Thanks. i was looking at a couple in autotrader and i think i fell in love with one of them. A White 01' 330ci. manual tranny, leather, gps nav system and 12 speaker sound system! Most important of all, AC! Thats the only thing I couldnt transplant on my 240. Plus, the luxury combined with power of a BMW is, i think, umatched. Atleast for my budget range.

right now i've got an 86 300zx that i've done some stuff to... retrofitted the newer style front end onto it, put in an all black leather interior from an anniversary addition Z, all new suspension (tokico), and of course a HUGE turbo and lots of fuel.
i'm thinking i may sell it next year and start a late 60's mustang fastback project though. i used to have this idea about putting a 454 in a stang just to piss everyone off ;)
i only like older cars... once we got past the mid 90's or so, cars got too complicated for their own good.

thats treu I dont realy like the new cars that are coming up they all are like the same shape and stuff, I like the 90, true 2000 ones other then that not no many cars have atract me. but can any one opinion on my other post!!

i used to be into muscle cars. carbs, rotaries with cabrs, v8's with carbs, big old gas guzzlers, i just think that era is behind me with the prices of gas still rising. i used to spend about 90 bucks of gas a week on my old stang and that was when the gas was at 1.75 a gal. I can't imagine now. It would be sick. Then again, the stang was sick :D

that's why you run your muscle cars on alcohol ;)
