    Couple pics of the hellraiser
Tequila fouled her cage today so I had her out while I cleaned. She proceeded to wrap herself around every wire and knock whatever she could over. She is a hard one to corral when she decides she wants to go somewhere. Once I got her back in the cage I took a couple shots.

She's a pretty lady.. how big is she? She looks similar size-wise to my Ophelia.

I like her yellow color.. nice light tail too.

She is between 7 and 8 feet and was 37 lbs when I got her last year but I have slimmed her down a bit. Instead of eating 5 large rats once per month like she was (too much to digest in my opinion), she gets a jumbo every 14 days. I think she is prob down to maybe 32-35 lbs. She is a beast but very sweet. She has some nose rub from being kept in a screened 55 gallon tank that wont go away but other than that she is a good girl. Unfortunately she can't come out as much as I would like her to because of the cats. In her old house she got to roam the apartment for 4-5 days at a time. Here she gets out for about 15 mins per week.

Wow she's bigger than she looks in the pic. I haven't weighed Ophelia but she's around 7'.

I don't take my big girl out much either.. mainly because she tries to knock over everything in the room. She wears me out.

Yeah, I definitely feel bad that she doesnt get out as much as she used to. Once I get the spare bedroom cleaned up, I am going to let her roam in there for a few hours a week.

Typical Boa behavior imo :) Never met an RTB that didn't like to go in ten different directions at the same time, lol :D She looks really great Jamie. I give her a perfect ten! :gj:

Yeah, boas do seem nutty like that - funny the guidebooks don't tell you this! I had Carmen out for a bit the other day and she immediately thought the inside of my sweater was the BESTEST place to be.

Getting a squirmy determined boa out of your sweater is um...interesting!

Yeah boas can be a real handful! If they want to go somewhere, they'll be darned if they don't get there! Boas require that you have at least oh.. four hands to control them. :) Makes them interesting.

Everytime she gets determined that like, I think, oh dear god, imagine what she'll be like when she's 3, 4, 5 times bigger doing this...

As long as you keep handling her regularly, she should settle down. The younger boas are more freaky, shooting out and wrapping around everything they can. I've worked with some large boas that had been handled a lot, and they didn't do that nearly as much.

should i expect the same type of behaviour from my hog island boa or is that just RTB?

A hog island is a kind of RTB.. it's a BCI too. My hog does the same thing as all the other boa constrictors I've met. Just work with him/her and you'll be fine.
