    I'm so happy!
My friend brought me his granite python, and he said "Man, I cant get him to eat, and hes not shedding right, hasnt deficated and I dont think he's gonna live!". Well I said lemme see what I can do... This was about 3 days ago. Well, I get up this morning to a freshly shedded snake, with no caps over his eyes, I fed him a pinkie and the snake is no longer inactive. He seems like a WHOLE new snake! So now I have a happy snake with a full stomach, new scales who's chilling in his lil heated hide away!

That's awesome. All it takes is a little patience and a little coaxing. Glad you got him eating and shed.

I'm happy too! Granites really are VERY cool snakes. And to see that lil face look up at me when he brought him to me, I couldn't say no.

That's really great! The proper environment can bring almost any snake around...but a person has to really care enough to learn what that is and then provide it. So...did your friend give you this snake to keep? Or are you just rehabbing it and then giving it back? If so, I hope you show him exactly what you've done to care for it so he can do it right next time around.

I'm gonna tell him the snake is mine. I told him to PLEASE read up on ANY pet you get. Fish, snake, dog .. ANYTHING! But obviously he didn't. I'm so happy to see that snake so lively! I feel good about myself ... My good deed for the day :)

But that's not fair either...I'm great with animals, but I suck hard at plants. If you required me to keep a plant healthy for 6 months before I could get a snake, I'd never have a snake. =(

Hah I have you all beat. I have a new clutch of Back of the Fridge Suspicious Fuzzy Things. I only realized it of course when I opened the fridge and something growled at me (apparently the breeding females are VERY protective!). I expect to have them ready for shipping shortly as soon as I find the REALLY long kitchen tongs and a gas mask. ;)

Oh those are common. At least in my house. For some reason ill clean my fridge but since i don't want to do dishes, anything in containers that must be kept stays in there. Yes!
