What was the best concert you've ever attended? Or your best 3 to make it a lil easier!

    Mine are:

Mayhem at the Whiskey a go-go.

Iron Maiden, Brave New Wold tour ... Saw them 3 times in 1 week! God I was deaf after that third show! Haha.

Arch Enemy, Hate Eternal, Origin and Nile at the Key Club.

Honorable Mention: Summer Sanitarium (Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Metallica) at Giants Stadium, Blink 182/Green Day at MSG, Dave Matthews Band at MSG when James Brown came out to sing on Sex Machine, Art Alexakis from Everclear doing a solo, acoustic show for 100 people in NYC.

    Opeth/DevilDriver - Columbus OH 2004

    Opeth/Dark Tranquility - Pittsburgh PA 2006

Slayer @ Warner Theatre in DC 1987

Voivod/Soundgarden/Faith No More @ The Bayou in DC(the night Mayor Barry got busted for crack)

Opeth is jawdropping live - no theatrics at all to speak of just radiant talent and tightness in execution.

The tightest band I've ever seen was Shadows Fall. They were a last minute opener for Arch Enemy at the second show they played in California. They TOTALLY blew Arch Enemy off the stage! I still wish I could have seen Faith No More back in the day. I missed a chance to see Mr. Bungle too :(

I've seen alot of great concerts, but the best was probably when I saw Stevie Ray Vaughan back in '87 from the front row of the Follenger Auditorium in Champaign/Urbana.

<-- Awesome stuff - Patton is the man.

Peeping Tom should appease your Bungle-jones (in a California kinda way). Of course most stuff he does is gold - Tomahawk etc. I heard he was touring with Amon Tobin recently - THAT would have been a killer set.

    Re: Concerts
Wow...now I know im getting old. I dont know 95% of the groups all of you have seen, and I cant remember half of the concerts i've been too. But the ones I can remember that I enjoyed were.....

Steve Miller Band (sometime in the 70's)
    REO Speedwagon
    ELO
    Supertramp

Though it was not my favorite, It was a very memorable one. While stationed in Korea, Air Supply did a free concert for the military and I got to help set up stage for them and meet the band.

Am I old or what? lol

My best concert ever was NIN on March 14, 2006.

My second concert would have to be Garth Brooks. That was about...nine years ago. O_o
