A few more collection pics
Yes, you don't have to tell me I take lots of pics.. I can't help it!
Mr Harry the burm is growing like a weed and eating like a piggy! He's such a nice boy.

Mr babyface is starting to grow up and look like a man-snake!

Rusalka the female yellow anaconda actually is taming down quite nicely.. I just don't take chances hence the gloves!

This is Precious.. she is the foster sand boa that I am taking care of for awhile for some people. She wouldn't eat for them.. and still is having to be force fed rat tails by me weekly. She is still underweight, but much better now!

Thanks for looking!
Re: A few more collection pics
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE sand boas! The Anaconda is amazing too! Haha I dont blame ya with the gloves ;)
Re: A few more collection pics
Thing is I can hold the bigger male anaconda without gloves and be reasonably sure he won't do anything.. Rusalka just likes to nibble without warning sometimes. Little stinker.
Since you like sand boas, here's my three. The normal kenyan is in shed in the pic as you can see:

Re: A few more collection pics
April, you have such an amazing collection!! Mr. Harry the Burm is spectacular! And the little fostered sand-boa....such a sweet little worm! LOL Do you worry about her getting the nutrients she needs from just the tails? Still, it's gotta be better than nothing. :)
Re: A few more collection pics
TY so much for the extra sand boa pics! Here's pics of 2 of my babies. Seraph the sand boa, and Halen the BP.

Re: A few more collection pics
Judy - actually the breeder I bought my sand boas from recommended the rat tails to me. He said they must be packed with protein because he's seen drastic turn-arounds from feeding rat tails. I can't see any problems from feeding them.. after all they have bone, skin, muscle, and even some hair.
Vomitore - what a lovely anery kenyan! Do you have more pics? Looks like she has very clean pattern!
The BP is a cutie too. ;)
Re: A few more collection pics
Gorgeous pics as always, Shelby! Rusalka has some lovely iridescence going on! And I still adore that name, lol.

TY for the compliment! I love the color and pattern. GREAT snake too. I love how they try to borrow in the palm of your hand. Here's some more photos.

Re: A few more collection pics
How big is she and where did you get her? She is gorgeous!
Re: A few more collection pics
Very nice pics. I love Harry the burm especially! :pinkele: :colbert2:
Re: A few more collection pics
Aww, our baby Harry is growing up! What a cutie...=)
Glad to hear the foster kid is doing okay...can't wait to see her fully fattened up. =)
Re: A few more collection pics
What beautiful kids you've got there. I've been actually toying with the idea of buying a burm five or so years down the road.
And the condas? Stunning.

I got her when she was about 8 weeks old, she's about 14 weeks old now. She's already about 13-14 inches now. She's growing quick. Such a great snake though. She'll just curl up in my hands when I watch TV. She's so much fun to watch when I go to bed. I got her night heat lamp on so I can see her explore her home.
Re: A few more collection pics
That's cool.. I think they're so cute when they burrow in the substrate and you see the line where they're moving, then their little face pops up like a periscope.
Re: A few more collection pics
Wow, they're all awesome! Your burm has the cutest little face :)
Re: A few more collection pics
Harry sure is a cutie that's for sure...Nice little bunch of kiddies there.
Re: A few more collection pics
I think I have a new found love for sand boas:)
Great pics!

Re: A few more collection pics
:) I can never get enough of your collection! Great pics.. I'm a photo whore too... :P
Re: A few more collection pics
Shelby,
I have a question about your Burm. I see the patches on it. Is that normal or does it make it special in some way? Like a Het or a Hypo?
Re: A few more collection pics
Like I've written to you before that's an amazing burm!! Question do you have the most snake's other than the breeder's on this site. I could tell you probably have the bigest variety.
Re: A few more collection pics
Sand boas rock! Can't go wrong with them.. I highly recommend them to any snake enthusiast. :)
Lars - I really don't know the genetics behind the patternless spots that some granites exhibit, but it only appears on some of them. Harry was the only male of the clutch with the patternless spots, that's why I picked him.
emilio - well, I'm breeding a pair of kingsnakes this year so I can be considered a 'breeder' too :P but.. no there are plenty of others here that have more snakes than I do. Not sure about variety though.. I keep 15 different species.
Re: A few more collection pics
Smulkin & Smynx have a pretty big collection with a wide variety of critters...not sure on the numbers though.
