I actually bumped it over when I was taking pictures. It's actually one on side of the cage where his box is.

Someone's gonna start picking apart your setup, no offense, you know, just advice to make your snake happier. Here goes:
A 10 gallon tank is bad for 2 reasons; 1. Your bp will outgrow it in no time and 2. they are really hard to heat properly.
Ball Pythons hate bright lights. Switch to a red or black night bulb.
Glass tanks don't really give them the security they need, so you need 2 hides, one on the warm side and one on the cool side. Try fitting 2 hides and a water bowl in a 10 gallon- again, another reason why 10 gallons aren't the best choice.
If you've got a male, you can comfortable house him in a 20 gal long for life. Maybe get a bigger tank if you end up with a large male. If its a female, forget about it, minimum 40 breeder or 41 qt plastic tub for an adult.

Thanks for the advice. I had just bought him on sunday and the ten-gallon was already at home from when Ophelia was a tiny little thing. I'm actually using her old equipment until I can get him properly set up, but thank you.

Aren't you worried about bugs or anything getting on your snake when you bring it outside? I see other pics of people on here doing that but im to worried to do that with mine. I really like the pic with it's head coming out of the grass though, cool snake though

Yes and no. I realize that if I do take her outside that there's a potential for her to get bugs. My precautionary note is that I was her off immediately and thoroughly when I get her back into the apartment.
I also had a question: Do you have any suggestions on some good mite/parasite spray/ointment? I've never had to deal with them but I'd like to have something around just in case.

Its always good to have mite spray around just in case you bring in new animals. However, snake mites are snake mites. Odds are your snake won't pick up any bugs from outside except possibly ticks. But pesticides should be a concern also so be careful where you take him.

Mel, I looove the pic of ophelia closeup of her head sticking out of the grass....that is too cute! It almost looks like the loch ness monster's head "swimming" through the swamp...........aaarrgh!!!! ;)
