did ya miss me?

Oh it's nice to be back reading threads... I sprained my back 2 weeks ago and was unable to sit down until yesterday. I fell in a restaurant :bolt: (stepped on a menu that a patron dropped) and have been suffering ever since :irkd:

but, i'm feeling much better... still need to see the chiro a bunch more times to make sure i finish healing but otherwise... i'm back sitting down and on the internet!

:banana: and no, i can't do the banana dance yet... still too sore :oops:

Arg.. what a bummer! Throwing your back out is no fun. Good luck at the chiropractor.. and good to have you back!

I know what it's like to not be able to sit.. (busted tailbone being thrown off a horse) it sure sucks!

I'm so sorry to hear about your injury. OUCH!! :oops: I'm glad you're doing better though. Hopefully you'll be fully recovered soon. :D

sorry to here that. *of topic starts*had a friend that had a small infection in his tailbone and he didnt care even the the doctor told him not todo anything. he tryed rolerblading and fell. It some how spread the infection and he was in the hostpital for 3 months. Obviously that has nothing todo with your case*off topic ends* and ways, not sure what you do for a living but if you work maybe you'll get to miss sometime and just sit on the computer all day ;)

i am self employed... work for myself on the computer... so this hasn't been good. my magazine is due out on the 15th and i haven't even started it when i fell :( i've been attempting to hand-code (yup i like it better that way) the magazine - and of course it's a huge issue... i'm almost done which is a blessing... so we'll be online without any delays.

i'm not the kind of person who likes to lay down... so i walked all day long, from morning to night since i wasn't allowed to stand in one place or sit. but, i've healed very quickly!

i don't take any drugs but i did break down and take one muscle relaxant every evening so i could handle the pain and get some sleep... but i'm off them now :)

Ouch! I'm glad to hear you are getting better...take care of your bones and your joints. You only get one set. =P

i agree. my back was broken when i was little and the chiro is attempting to do some gentle manipulation to get my constant back pain to decrease... he doesn't know if he can do much though as it's such an old injury and often times... it's better to just use soft tissue massage rather than realignment on such old injuries.

i figure if i'm paying for the appts anyway (while my sprained back heals) i might as well have him work on other areas at the same time :D

WB, RG!!!! Sorry to hear about your accident. :( That's really the pits. Some parts of the bod U can injure and it's not as serious, but the back isn't one of those....Noooooooo-ooooooooo:rainon:

Ouch ouch ouch!!! I am really sorry to hear about your injury...that has got to be so difficult!! We have definitely missed your smiling face around here!! Even so, err on the side of caution and don't spend too much time sitting here if it hurts! :hug:

Wondered where you'd gotten too girl! Glad you are back but so sorry to hear about your fall and the pain you are going through! Take it as easy as you can as you heal up...backs are always slow to heal it seems so give it time.

well i just cleaned my house for the first time in two weeks EEK!!! but don't worry, i did the stuff at my level my little 7 yr old daughter did the lower stuff for me (and is now unstacking the dishwasher... my little helper!) of course, the bathroom was :grabbed: FRIGHTENING with two males in the house :pee:

i will be taking it easy for the rest of the day though cause i did "more" than enough...

but, the ratties are happy :bleh: (clean cage) and the mice :mouse2: and their new little pinkie babies are happy (another clean cage) and the salt water tank has to have a water change so i'll do that later today once the salt has disolved in the water...

but other than that... i'm taking the rest of the day off!!! :worship: i'll be doing what i do best... :popcorn: :blahblah: hahaha

and soon i'll be back :pinkele:

oh man did i mention how much i've missed you all????? :grouphug:

okay so that little spurt of energy and cleaning gave me a nice painful set back... so i'm off again until i heal from this :(

Did the Restaurant offer to help you at all? cause it seemed like they were at fault. And I'm glad you are feeling better....we did miss you..;)

i didn't ask them to. so no they haven't. they don't even know i'm hurt. there were there when i fell, but it seemed like such a minor fall...

amazing how something so little can become something so debilitating in your life.
