    thanks

PS Are there any estimates on how many visible Lavendars there are right now?

I don't think too many people have them right now. From what I remember, the prices are $2-3,000 for a het male, and $4-6,000 for a het female. Pricey.

<edit> P.S. Sorry, I misread your post. I thought you were asking about cost.

I've never purchased possible het lav albinos from RDR, but I've picked up many high dollar animals from Ralph and have always been blown away with the quality of his animals and his service. Ralph is the BEST!

You and your friend will do well!

Sounds like a good plan, especially with someone like RDR. 3 - 66% have the odds of getting you further ahead than 1 100% het male at the same price. Too bad I dont have more room and females to dedicate or I might have gone that route too.

    Best of luck!

Well, we now have five 50%-66% poss het Lav Alb males with one more that will be coming from RDR. And we're looking into two 66% poss Lav Alb females. So wish us luck!

Yeah, we're really excited. Hopefully at least ONE proves out, they ain't cheap, specially the girls. I'm sure you'll all hear a scream of joy in the next few years if I see a little Lav Alb head pipping and being a photo fanatic you'll probably end up banning me for using too much bandwidth.

Though for now I'm just crossing my fingers. :) Thank you all.

In time in time! Start raising up a hypo girl to go to a lavender male you hopefully produce, make some double hets, and go from there.

We have a few 100% het hypos as well but we're working on them separately until we get visuals. Then we might start trying to play around. But that's counting our eggs before they're even a gleam. lol

The BP morph I think most interesting from RDR is the Lavender albino Pie Bald. That is one that actually makes me think of pawning all I have to get. They look like a orange creamcicle and are incredible. But it is such a shame I cant import one here from RDR............sniff sniff

Maybe I'm dead wrong here, Beauty but I think all the major breeders sell snakes overseas with the appropriate permits.

Most do yes. However applying for a CITES is a tad costly. I've been looking into this and believe me it doesn't seem like it's going to be very easy. Plus you have to consider that most breeders also charge a CITES fee.

The CITES fee that breeders charge is for the permit ... it's really not that bad. I charge no additional fees for international shipping other than the cost of the permit, inspections, and shipping.

International air cargo is the most expensive part.

Well as I said I'm still looking into it. I do not claim to know much at all yet. lol
But I would be bringing into the States not sending things out I haven't looked into that aspect. I've heard that AC runs from $500-$1500, I'm sure more in some cases.

Ireland has extra requirements for someone to import a snake even from the UK. They will let you own a snake or ship a snake with in the island, but if you want to bring one in from the outside so to speak, you end up having to go thru a petshop and then get charged too much. So the ferry across the pond with the snake in a muslin bag and well hidden on your person works......lol But I am happy doing my rescue work and having my normals.....lol

Back into topic I have another question. The friend I'm working this project on has found another pair of 50% het Lavender Albino females, the breeder is asking $2,000 for the pair. They have good references and we've checked them out. My friend says we have enough to start with, I say we get them and I'm planning going through with the purchase. What do you think? I say it's two more possibilities of SOMEONE proving out.
