I didn't make this up

This is a real question asked on another forum that I visit. I couldn't have made this question up if I'd tried:

My ball python pooped in the dishwasher. Does ths mean he is sick or stressed?

How do you respond to a question like this? Besides the obvious - why was your snake in the dishwasher? I was tempted to respond - "it depends - did he poop during the rinse or dry cycle?".

Rabernet, I probably would have answered the same way :LMAO: I mean, a stupid quest only deserves the same kind of answer right? I think I would have said something like,.."was it the liquid form of detergent, the powder, those gel capsule things, or the new and improved snake-safe detergent?" :)

I'm wondering if they meant dish water not dishwasher....typo thingy maybe.

Except the subject of the thread was: Ball python pooped in dishwasher...

Doesn't matter...BP's shouldn't be anywhere near a dishwasher or dishwater otherwise!!

Uhhhh... that is just very, very sad.

I would say that their BP isn't sick... Dishwashers are perfectly normal places for BP's to poop.. Now... The microwave... that's a whole other story all together!

You know, I am just wonder what sort of half trained retarded monkey puts his snake in the dishwasher? Were you dropped on your head, live under power lines, eat lead paint, or were you born with an IQ of 36? I’m not trying to be mean in any way, however anyone who puts thier snake in a dishwasher has issues! Anyone with the sense God gave a rock knows you put them in the washing machine then line dry! Seriously can anyone really be this stupid?

Personally, I don't see what the big deal is. If you go waste your time just to make a post equally as stupid to a thread than aren't you just making an *** of yourself? I mean come on it's obviously a typo, and for all you know the person wanted to type water dish but under the stress of the new pet and them being naaive about what to expect, they just wrote dishwasher cuz they were thinking about the dishes that need to be done. I say who cares as long as they really didn't put the snake in the dishwasher.

Well for heaven's sakes there's a totally common sense, easy answer to this whole silly BP pooping in the dishwasher issue. I simply sat my various snakes down and explained to them that when they do the dishes they must not defecate in the machine. Rauri of course also needed a refresher on "one must not attempt to vacuum up the milksnake when one is doing the livingroom carpet" but I think he has it now.

Actually Salty, this person has written very knowledgable posts before. I beginning to think that she did it just to stir some things up - there have been complaints there about some of the stupid things that people ask.

It's really obviously mostly teenagers that post there, all inexperienced keepers all giving each other bad advice. There are a few of us there that try to be the voice of reason and step in when they give really horrible advice. (Like advising someone to force feed their snake that's fasted a month and how they've done it)

You are very correct! My sincerest apologies! I forget that some of you guys here are teenagers - but of course, BP.net has the BEST of the BEST - this other one - I dunno what to say except that I scratch my head almost every day. And the internet chat typing they do in most posts gives me headaches and I'm not up to date on "chat speak"! LOL

It was insensitive of me to make a broad generalization (I know you were just kidding) - but indeed, it deserves an apology. Can I beg off that it was really, really early in the morning and I had not had my coffee yet?
