Re: Name that movie (off-off-topic)
Screenshots are cool... but how about a "name that movie" or "name that tune" with just movie LINES, or song lyrics... That'd be fun too...
As for the above pic... I can't even guess on that one... and I'm a HUGE movie freak... I'm embarrased...

Re: Name that movie (off-off-topic)

I thought about that - way too easy to google though.
And yes you're right - Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. If you dig Monty Python and absurdism you'll likely cotton to it pretty well.
Anyone else care to take a run? I have to pack up and be ready to shazaam on home her after putting down a riot over delayed emails (g0sh I love my job).

Re: Name that movie (off-off-topic)
Heh...I have to have SOMEthing to hang my google-hat on, unless I were to just happen to recognize it right off...which is unlikely for me. :P

-
Re: Name that movie (off-off-topic)

Shame on you! :P For those who didn't cheat, it's a line from "To Have and Have Not", spoken by Walter Brennan. A more famous line from the same film was spoken by Lauren Bacall: "You do know how to whistle, don't you Steve? You just your lips together and...blow."
K, here's an easy old one: "As God as my witness, I'll never be hungry again!" Bonus question: which actress actually recorded the vomiting sounds that proceeded this line? And no cheating this time!

For the love of Pete please tell me where I can get a copy of this movie!! I saw it ONCE when I was a teenager and I loved it to death! It is not exactly a main stream movie though and I have had zero success getting my hands on a copy.

Gone with the Wind is the name of the movie. Proud moment for me: I actually read the entire book! It was a project in my junior year of high school and most people that I know either watched the movie or got the cliff notes. Your boy manned up and read the whole dog gone thing!
I have no idea who did the puking though, lol.
-
Re: Name that movie (off-off-topic)
lol - The brick comment... That movie's hilarious.
"Wow, that really escalated quickly!" lol
Okay... here's one of mine...Its kinda more like new movie trivia.. or I feel like it is, cause its within the last decade... unlike some of YOU ALL's. lol
"I wish I could speak whale!" (easy)

Bubbles is a Yellow Tang and Dory is a Pacific Sugeron fish and also know as a blue tang. (Tangs can be all different colors it's a matter of that little barb by the tailfin that qualifies them as tangs, I think) And that was one I finally knew. LOL! ;)
ok today's biology lesson is finished, we'll now return you to your regularly scheduled thread. :imslow:

Re: Name that movie (off-off-topic)
DAGG!
Since I missed Cass's Hemingway Question (still ashamed) here's my repreive:
Only images I could find - to compensate I'll give you a slight clue. He's not playing Batman or Beetlejuice - but it was as close as he ever came to doing Beetlejuice again.

Who could forget Much Ado About Nothing?
Okay - I could, and - I'm sure Michael Keaton would like to as well.

Starring and directed by Kenneth Branagh, I'd imagine he'd like to forget it too.

Re: Name that movie (off-off-topic)
Alright, but Smulkin's not allowed to answer this. Who knows the name of the book and the author of the book that the movie Blade Runner is based on. (Googling is cheating.)

Olivia De Havilland David O'Fracking Selznik didn't think Vivien Leigh's gagging sounded good enough, so he had De Havilland do it off screen (eeewww).
K another oldy, but not as old: "I'm walkin' here!"
