    new snake room pics
Got my 2 new boaphile cages today! Ophelia the surinam BCC is in the top one, and Diva the hog island boa is in the bottom. The middle one? Well, that's for the male anaconda I'm picking up in about two weeks. :D The tub on top is where the male BCC Rowan lives.

The snake wall. Three snakes are not in the pic.

I like the setup you have:D. You just need a bowl for all that spagehtti between the racks:P. I have 2 questions for you.

    1. How big will Ophelia get? Tempted to get one.
    2. Is that a Rhino Raxx sitting on top of a Natures Spirit rack?

Er.. yeah, LOTS of spaghetti. lol

    1) Since Ophelia is a BCC, she can get bigger than a BCI. I have not meaured/weighed her yet but she's in the vicinity of 7' and probably 15-20lbs. She could potentially top 10', but around 8-9' is pretty normal, and up to 30lbs or more.

    2) nope, the black racks are from reptilebasics.com, but the white one is from nature's spirit.

    Looks great!!

    Boaphile cages are the best!

I would just suggest getting that Boaphile off the floor and placing them on a stand of some type. Just makes heating a bit easier and not too mention will be easier on you during cleaning day.

Out of curiousity, why didn't you get a boaphile for Rowan as well? I know the empty one is for the annie you've got coming...

ssscales.. I don't know if I have anything to set it on... do you have any ideas? I don't mind getting on the floor to clean.. I like sitting on the floor. (I'm weird I know)

Cassandra - Rowan is a little guy.. he's going to go in a 3' rack that I have on order, he does not need a 4'x2' cage yet.

I ordered my stacks and they came with the pedestal, but I've seen people place them on tables or you can build your own stand to the height that best works for you.

    Just a thought..

I didn't order a stack so no pedestal.. I really don't mind cleaning it on the floor like that.. and I have a fan to circulate heat so it's 80 degrees on the floor on the opposite side of the room from the space heater.

Now THAT'S a hard sell hahaha.

I am overpopulated with rats so I am trying to convince the wife the only valid solution to the problem is to get more mouths to feed ;)

Great looking getup - we have (had i ought to say) the same floor heating unit i see in the bottom pic but the power company fried it (and monitors, power supplies, cable boxes etc).

I think Smynx has been through something in the order of three or four different models as replacements as no one stocks the original any more. Those ones can warm a surprising volume of air!
