Miss Chunker! (Du warning!)

I bought (although I feel like i stole her!) this normal female last week, and have been *patiently* waiting to take her out to take some pics.

Here she is, in comparison to my normal male, who I've had for 5 years and is full-grown adult. This girl is a sexy hunk of snake!

I hope to breed this girl to my het albino male coming in this week. (IF she doesn't eat him, first) That will hold me off until my het albino female is all grown up (awwww) I'm dying to get a weight on her, but i don't have a digital scale yet.

Lovely looking snakes. Would you mind resizing the pics please? They are off scale even on my 19inch monitor :P :)

The first time I resized them to fit before isubmitted it, but it didn't work! Now it should though. Sorry bout that!

Which should have been my next q. Do you have any background on the new one? A vet visit would be highly desired to rule out any parasites or diseases that could spread to the rest of your collection :)

You're totally right, I shouldn't have taken pictures of them together so soon. They ARE in different rooms, being "quarantined".... I couldn't help myself! *ducks from the rocks being thrown* Don't hurt me!


She seems to be an older girl, but I don't know much about her. The kid who sold the snake to me got in trouble cause he mother found out about all the snakes and had to sell em all. LoL, she was a funny lady. But he *said* that when he bought her like a month ago, the guy *said* the snake had been to the vet for a wellness check. I believe the boy, i'm not so sure on the man. Lots of people saying things.

Did you sex her yourself? Not saying she's not a female but with so much sketchy background I'd personally want her vetted and re-sexed just to be sure I had what I thought I had. Keep up with the quarantine....it really is an invaluable step.

Yeah, I sexed her myself. I promise, no more "un"quarentining. :oops:

The new one is the BIG girl, the smaller one is my adult male normal.

She's a sweetie, very skittish for now. It doesn't seem like she was held much, and I'm not sure that she had the right conditions. She has 3 scab like things on the top of her head, but i think it'll go away with shed. It's almost like someone kept her just to watch her eat.. (and that she did!)

It looks that from those pics your male is quite happy with your find too...;) !!!You could probably get a decent gram scale from walmart of kmart or even a nice postal scale from Staples or OfficeMax.....that's where I got mine. Did you happen to measure her? I'm curious as to how long that lovely girl is.

I've been *trying* not to mess with her so much :) You all see how well that's gone.

When the money rolls in I will pick up a scale and update you all on her measurements. They are about $30, but hubby is broke from the het albino pair and this girl. Way to go me, spending all my man's money :bye:
