I'm back !!! hope someone remembers me!!

Hey everybody,
It is the EyeLashViper - I have returned. I was last on this board on January 30th 2005 at 9:30 am. My mother died a couple of hours later that day in the hospital where she was recovering from surgery for a broken hip.She "threw" a blood clot to her heart and lungs and died instantly at 11:25 am that day. Well, it has been a long and hard year since then and due to the chaotic nature of her death and my having to relocate due to personal reasons I had to part with my beloved Ball Pythons. I have spent most of the last year in a deep depression over the loss of my precious mother. I have not been on the computer or active in the hobby until the last few months. I DO still have a few snakes that I am proud of having until the day comes again that I can expand my collection.The following is what I have now :

one male Bull snake ( Pituophis catenifer )

one female Childrens Python

one female Rosy Boa

one female Western Hognose

one male Mexican Kingsnake

I must admit that I miss my Ball Pythons very much but I had no other choice but to sell them to a friend under the circumstances of the situation I was in after my moms death.I at least know that they went to a good home.
I really look forward to meeting some new people on this forum and am hoping that someone out there might remember me in some way. I used to post a lot !!!!!!!!!

Well, I am going to post this and I certainly hope to hear from some of you in the days ahead. I am doing better and I am still fiddling around with a few snakes as you can see from my list.....

I sure do remember you. Sorry to hear about the death of your mother, I know how hard that is.

Welcome back! I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. I've gone through that myself so I know how hard that can be. If there's anything I can do just let me know. It's good to have you back! :aww:

I'm sorry to hear of your depressing year.. it's good to hear you've recovered enough to get back into the hobby that you love.

Hey, I remember you! I am really sorry for your tragic loss. I'm sure words are just empty and meaningles comfort to someone who has suffered such a loss, especially when its written online. I am glad to see that you are gaining your interest back in herps and hope to hear from you often.

I am so glad to see that some of you out there still remember me and I am also very pleased to have made some new friends....yes, I am back in the hobby that I love the most - SNAKES !!!!!! yup, I sure do love snakes and over the last year since the death of my mother one of the things I clinged to to keep from going nuts was reading about snake biology and husbandry and managing to keep my hands on a few of my pet snakes even though I was forced to give up my Ball Pythons.

I really look forward to sharing insights and stories about snakes with all of you in the days ahead. I have become a pretty fair herper over the years and I must say that I actually owe snakes a great deal as far as keeping my sanity what with all the turmoil and sadness of the last year for me.
