With fedding a pregnant guinea pig to a burm i would assume it would have alot more nutrtional value correct?

Plus it would way bigger than a normal pig ...if anyone has an opnion on this lemme know :)

Feed several HUGE rats, or a rabbit. Guinea pigs are expensive.

    *Edit

Mind you I wont be telling them that there pigs are gonna be snake food.....they wont give them to me then lol...I dont like lying but the less money i spend on food the more money i have for my bills :)

I know of a guy right now that has one female, one male and 6 babies all for free if I come pick them up....his kids wont take care of them anymore so as soon as i get over there there mine :)

Wow that is a good deal. Where I live GP's are like $15.00 a pop!

If the GP is preggie and a good breeder you might want to consider letting her deliver and then hey...more food! Just a thought.

i was planning on having one litter, then freezing the other prego's because i have very limited space......im told its pointless because the extra babies are all just fat cartilage and bone and will just make my snake fat...i can see that

I guess what's disturbing to me is that these were this guy's kid's pets, and little do they know they're going to be snake food!

I guess I need to not be such a softie, that's why I have two mice I'm reluctant to feed off - been here since October when Kashmire went on his fast - and now are so tame! I keep buying new ones instead - because they trust me - GAH!!!!!

HAhahaha funny you shoudl mention that because i went to day to get teh pigs and the guy was like "i hate the stupid things, we should open up the door and let them all go outside, or better yet we should find someoen with a big snake and watch it eat them!".....we still never told them what there percious pigs were for lol....i kinda felt bad but oh well....i have 2 males and 2 females for breeding and one is "Chillin" in the freezer now ......i still cant belive i killed a guinea pig....i fell kinda bad...but hey its survival.....plus this one scared me soooooo yea lol anyways i doubt il be feeding it a pregant guinea pig now....but at least il be getting free snake food lol!

I think I'm going to end up with the same problem. I set up 1.2 rat colonies in two 15 gallon tanks I had sitting around, and I'm having a heck of a time getting the six year old to leave them alone. Her and I have had the "these are food, not pets talk" but I don't think it sank in.:worry:

    *Blink*
So..um let me get this straight. Your answering free pet adds..like the free puppy to a good home but only in this case its guinea pigs and your feeding them to your snake? <.< >.>
wth? that is very uncool. Nothing wrong with feeding guinea pigs but those that are to be pets are another thing, your decieving people as well. You know thye wouldnt give them to you if you said "Their friends for my snake *wink*" so you should know better. Breed rats or rabbits or guinea pigs for goodness sake but dont take peoples unwanted pets under false pretence to feed to the snake. Also Im not 100% sure on it but I think freezeing an animal is illegle as its inhumane euthanasia. You might want to try something else, I think the store down my street uses gas from co2 cartriges. you can buy that at wal-mart, just put them in a bucket with a lid and crack the lid and spray the gas in...should work if you dont want to invest in an expencive co2 chamber. but dont just toss em in a freezer.
ok just a little advice here forget what i said up there because it comes off kinda harsh.
Buy some breeding animals and do it that way. And no freezing live feeders..gas em or ..i dont know something lol but freezeing isnt cool for living things. Cheers

As this issue has already been addressed in her other thread, I can't see this thread going anywhere but downhill.
