    What is your BP's name?
My dear forum members, and guests as well...

During the course of my usual morning browse through the forums, I ran across a highly inappropriate response to a popular thread. In the process of removing that particular response (and my deepest apologies to anyone unfortunate enough to see it before I ditched it!) I inadvertantly .....ummmm.....seemed to have lost the entire thread. ~deep, sorrowful sigh~

SO! ~pulls herself back together~ For all those who enjoyed participating in that thread and reading it as well, here it is again. My deepest and most humble apologies to the original poster of that thread, and to everyone who may have to repeat themselves for the new one!

It happens to the best of us, Judy! I've done it before - teaches one to savor the taste of crow ;)

In all fairness though the post which prompted Judy's actions was not only highly inappropriate but also inflamatory and trollish.

That has no reflection on the otherwise high quality of this thread - in hopes folks don't remind listing I'll hop on the bandwagon.

We've got Beatrice and Bene****, Suki and Sesha, Henry, June and Anais, Vishnu and . . . . . ok . . . . apparently the grey hairs have sunk their roots deep enough it's affected my memory . . .

Good name! ;) And actually my Skye's name isn't set in stone yet, but leaning towards it. I was naming mine after a Canine Assistant I've worked with. That's where Sullivan got his name from, actually - after training over 300 dogs, Canine Assistants is a great source for cute names! LOL ("I" didn't train over 300 dogs - CA did! LOL)

Rick gets full credit for Cleo, short for Cleopatra*, nodding to how ball pythons got their latin name. We've said that if we get another (male) that he would have to be Anthony. =)

*Personally, I think her full name is Cleopatra, Queen of All That Slithers, but that's just me. ;)

I was trying to go with a greek god/goddess naming scheme.... but it didn't quite wind up that way... I've got 15, and there's only a few named... and only two are greek goddesses. (Names in sig)

When I eventually get a blue beauty, we plan to name her Ma-tsu after the southwestern asian sea goddess. :) (also spelled like 4 million different ways, but we decided on that one.) Otherwise I seem to have a habit of going the dorky fangirl route with names lately, lol. Gomez, Falkor... but going to do the goddess thing with Ma-tsu whenever that may be. :)

    The ball pythons are:

Issa (God of the snakes from the Belgarid) = normal male, first snake
    Vash (Pastel female from ST:TNG)
Q (Pastel male, also from ST:TNG)
    Nyoka (shy normal female)
Princess (adult normal female... [her container must be just so, and she expects it cleaned immediately! lol]

unnamed het ghost male (He's getting close to earning Nipper or something, he's bitten me the most out of all of my snakes..such a scared baby)

    Short tails:

Lucien = sarawak male..but his name may get changed
Obsidian Butterfly = adult female black blood (from the anita blake books)
[the vet techs have cracked jokes about how she's such a big strong butterfly]

    Irian Jaya Carpet pythons:
Ko Kame = female (it's japanese for turtle, she's got a turtle marking on her head)
Kushiel = male (he started out as my angry snake...he's completely mellow now, not living up to his name at all)

    Leopard geckos:
Spike = SHCT het for abino (from Cowboy Bebop)
    Marilyn = Hybino
