Here is a pic of him chilling in his warm hide.
I use the sponges to help w/ humidity, I have Elec. heat and boy does it dry out the house when it runs alot on these cold days

Do i see sponges in his waterbowls? I am pretty sure that can lead to bacteria and mold growth.

Do you get those sponges wet for humidity? If they get wet i think they can still grow mold and bacteria.

Only if the same sponge is re-wetted and left alone repeatedly for long periods of time. A fresh, wet sponge placed in the cage each day shouldn't be a problem.

Been doing it for 2 yrs now and never had a mold issue or problem.
I rinse out everyday and every couple days soak w/ virosan.
Then every month I replace with new sponges.
I feel it is better than misting and misting the bark everyday, to me that could cause a mold/bacteria issue.

I guess the trick is to keep the sponges clean.

How much did that tank cost u if you don't mind me asking you? Did you have to fit a piece of plexi glass for the top meaning is it a complete screen top?

    I use Reptibark.

It is a Animal Plastics T-11 I got it about 2 yrs ago and total cost w/ shipping was 305.00. The top is solid w/ 2 cutouts that are screened. You can order that way. It also has the acrylic sliding doors and the heat cable along 1/2 of the bottom.

That is a very nice setup. I was looking at a similar T3 for my cage. Do you find you need the dual holes on top to maintian the heat. I was debating if they were needed to get the temp. right or if the belly heat option of theirs will do the trick.
