    A couple boa pics
Diva was looking mighty fine tonight so I snapped a pic.

I really wish I could capture Rowan's lavenders and pinks. This snake takes my breath away. He's a nice fellow too. :)

Ophelia, on the other hand, is not such a nice gal. She tried to bite me, then decided she wanted to take my glove (you can see she has it in her tail there) and almost knock Rowan's cage over. Then she went behind her cage and didn't want to come out. I finally did get her back in. Stinker. This is a STRONG snake. She's around 7'. The measure pic isn't great because she was just deciding to leave, and the measurer program doesn't work right unless the pic's straight ahead and the snake isn't curled around the side of the container

    Thank you. :)

I am very proud of my hoggie girl. She's the nicest I've ever seen too. I am on the look out for a suitable mate for her. Hopefully next year I will breed her.

I hope you do. I've found it hard to find another hoggie that I even like. I don't really know what the exact difference is between her and most other hoggies.. I thought it was less speckling, but she has plenty of freckles (which I think she wears very well) I think they are just.. cleaner somehow. And she has more orange. She's even in her dark phase in that pic. Hog island boas change colors like crazy.

I can honestly say I've never gotten mad at a snake. They do try me sometimes though. :)

Diva's nose is better, but she has no nostrils so she has to breathe with mouth open. Poor baby.

I am proud to say that both Rowan and Ophelia POUNDED their rats last night. They acted like they hadn't eaten in months!

Beeeuuutiful snakes, April!!! Is Rowan considered a pastel??? I have the opportunity to get a pastel baby, but I'm not sure what a Columbian pastel would look like IRL. As an adult, could I expect my baby's colors to turn out like Rowan's?????

    Thanks!

No, Rowan is a completely normal (if lovely) Surinam BCC.

Colombian BCI pastels can be quite nice looking snakes, but it's a bit much to expect them to look anything like a nice BCC. Remember BCI tend to darken and dull with age.. BCC do to an extent too, but they often keep insane colors as adults.
