here is one of a normal girl(Astrild) that likes to bite....I had to clean her enclosure out today so this is how she waits for me to clean her poop....striking mode....ha ha...I had been bitten by other herps before but never by a ball pyton until these girls arrived....

Looking good Daniel! Gunnar looks beefy and beautiful, and Astrild has a wonderful looking pattern and great color!

I will breed him next year if all goes as planned. So keep your fingers crossed ;)

I have my fingers crossed all the way. I was wondering when you will have the plans for the rack you made up? It is a very nice rack and I just made one my self. I am going to make another one soon.

Also who did you get your normal females from?

As soon as my computer quits acting funny...I am on my wife's computer now cause my g,h, backspace and a few other buttons have decided to stop working....and all of the pics and software are on my computer... it was driving me nuts cutting and pasting g's and h's all the time...so I have called it quits til I can get my computer functioning properly again

Ben Siegel Reptiles....great guy to deal with....very 'to the point'...ha ha...I called up...said I needed some female ball pythons...sent the money and that was it...the entire process took about 10 minutes...ha

Aren't Ben's girls great!? My girlfriend got bit by Jake the first day we had him, my girlfriend's 3 yr old got bit by our het hypo girl, but I've never been struck at once... until I got my 10 girls from Ben. Got tagged 4 times trying to get her into her tub the day I opened her. :) Haven't been struck at since... so maybe I'm making them feel nice and secure... but they sure are quick to try and slither away when I go into their tubs to grab 'em! :) Still haven't gotten any real good photo ops yet with any of them since day 1. :) They're still so small though, they'll settle with age.....I hope. ;)

There are only really 3 out of the 7 that really like to strike.....Katie's favorite likes to strike at me and she thinks it is funny (the one in the picture)....that girl is also a killer eater...I fed her tonight and I have never had a ball python hit a mouse so hard...she has her head at the entrance of the hide 24/7 ready to nail whatever comes infront of it too...I don't mind getting tagged every now and then if she keeps that kinda appetite ;) I offered some live small adult mice tonight....3 of the 7 took the mouse in a matter of seconds....I am watching the others now...in about 5 min if they dont take it the mice are getting the ax and are going to be left overnight.....how are your girls feeding?

I had a refusal from a girl in shed, otherwise, they're all poundin adult mice with vigor! The one that "went hungry" has shed now, and I expect she'll be just fine this week. I was kinda quick to jump to calling it a refusal though... She struck at it twice, but the mouse was so freaked out, and was trying to jump out of the cage... I just got kinda worried about her... so after the second strike... I could tell she just couldn't see at ALL, and she looked a little sketchy about eating... so... sketchy mouse.. sketchy snake.. no food for her! lol. I gave it to another one that had already had one, and she took it fine... My girls were 124 (small) and 208 (large) when I got them on the 6th of this month... now they're 152 (small) and 252 (large) after two meals with me.. :)
