Buying them is really no different than buying any other type of herp. Whether you buy it from the Internet or at a pet shop doesn't really matter. They each have their own inherent risks, but neither one is necessarily a superior method than the other. So long as the animal looks healthy, either one should work just fine for you. Chances of you finding many morphs to choose from at a local pet shop will be alot less than were you to find a breeder Online.

If you're interested in buying Online, I have two sites that I would suggest:

    check out this caresheet: http://www.ball-pythons.net/modules....ewarticle&id=8.

no light is necessary for leos as they are nocturnal. here is a photo of a pretty normal size adult female on my hand, though some do get a bit larger than she is.

for juvies a 10 gallon would be fine but adults would appreciate the extra space of a 20 gallon if you can provide it.

I have my big girl in a 20gallon (long) aquarium. I use a UTH and no extra lighting - as Emily said, they are nocturnal, so no added light is necessary. I feed her large, gut-loaded crickets dusted in multi-vitamins and once a week or so I'll give her a few super mealworms or large waxworms.

My particular girl loves being handled, and climbs all over me given the chance. Her favorite spot really seems to be on my shoulders, and she often tries climbing up the side of my face to rest on top of my head. She's just crazy like that :)

    Re: Question About Geckos Leopard
I have 4 leos (1 male, 3 females) that I've had for a little over four years. I keep them each in their own sterilite drawer (about 12x16 inches) on paper towels and feed almost exclusivley mealworms. My guys eat about a dozen mealworms each (sometimes more) every 2-3 days. I find if I feed them every day they develop fat pockets in their arm pits. I dust with vitamin powder once a week. Once in a while they get a few wax worms, and one of my girls loves pinkie mice so she gets one of those maybe once every few months.

None of my girls really like to be handled, they're all kind of skittish but will eventually settle down after a few minutes of handling. My male, on the other hand, loves to come out and he'd be happy to sit on my hand all day and night if I'd let him. He's not even head and will let you stroke between his eyes. For some reason all of them have tried to climb on top of my head before... maybe it's warmer up there?? I don't know, lol.

newspaper or papertowels are best in order to prevent impaction. if you house 2 males together they will fight but most of the time females get along fine so just make sure to get females that are about the same size.

If you buy babies that are unsexable, you need to be ready to separate them at some point should things get rough.. meaning fighting cause they are the same sex (male and male). It really is best, if you plan on keeping several together, to buy some that are close in size and age and are sexable to avoid problems down the road.
