    Thank you!

She's honestly the nicest looking hogg island boa I've ever seen. I didn't even like them until I saw her! I need to find a male that's as good as she is.

Wow! Do all boas have higher contrast in color on their tails? Diva's a big lovely gal! And in an completely unrelated note, I love your shirt too. :D

Yes, well they call them 'red tail boas' for a reason. :) She has an exceptional tail though, very clear colors, and wonderful rich orange. That's why I fell in love with her.

And thanks, I just got that shirt. :)

For some reason I had it in my head that the red tail boa term was specific to Columbians, lol. I'm a spaz, but I'm not real familiar with boas obviously.

Actually, colombians have the dullest red tail of them all! Except maybe nicaraguans and a few unusual subspecies..

Colombians are BCI boas (boa constrictor imperator)

Red tails like surinames, guyanans, and peruvians are BCC (boa constrictor constrictor) They are known as TRUE red tails because they keep the cherry red tail into adulthood unlike colombians.

Beautiful snake, Shelby! Is she higher orange than others or is that a more common shade for HIBs?????? I'm looking at one and he is a more sandy gray so I'm not sure what he'll be as an adult. Still learning here.

Re: Photoshoot with Diva (hogg island boa)
BCC (boa constrictor constrictor) also can be found in columbia with BCI most pro's will tell you BCI is a common boa but BCC is the true red tail they grow larger and their tails are a bright red not a brownish orangish like hogs or a dull brownish red like BCI's

If anyone has a true colombian red tail boa its a BCC or its not a true red tail

Definitely a pretty snake. She definitely has some very nice orangish color to her. Good luck finding her a matching boyfriend. :D

She is MUCH higher orange than any other HIB I've seen anywhere. That's what I'm looking for in her future mate..

I don't really know, Lars. Is yours a hogg island, or a high orange colombian? If it's a colombian, it will have more solid darker orange, and less variation in color. If it's a hoggie, I would like to check out that line myself! Doesn't he have pictures of adult ones?
