Cryptidcore Anyone?
Discovered a new aesthetic and I absolutely LOVE it. It's called (drumroll please).....
CRYPTIDCORE!
It is basically a grunge aesthetic with some pops of supernatural entities such as Mothman, Chupacabra, and Yetis! It's super cool, and I am in love. :alien: What are y'alls inputs on it??

You have 10 minutes to edit your post. After that admin has to do it for you.

Re: Cryptidcore Anyone?
Interesting but not really my "aesthetic"
I generally just follow the stereotypical "I'm an average late teenage girl" or the "I'm exhausted and just crawled out of a dumpster" look lol.
Also, I think shapeshifters like windigos and such are pretty neat.

Re: Cryptidcore Anyone?
Black Shuck all the way!
not sure if that counts as a cryptid or is just local lore
as for the style of clothes...I'm more of a "if I'm not in scrubs, I'm in pj's" (or at most jeans and whatever shirt is clean at the moment)

That counts as a cryptid. The ozark howler is local lore, but it's a cryptid, so that counts.

I also discovered a cryptid called the wendigo which is so cute (things that I think are cute may be different for others), it's like a zombie deer mixed with a werewolf.

Re: Cryptidcore Anyone?
I should change my answer...I didn't even think about because it's never mentioned in "cryptid lore" - but the Mishipeshu (Underwater Panther) has been a favorite of mine since I started researching the Ancient Mississippian / Great Lake Cultures a few years ago. He's lord of the underworld and the opposite 'power creature' to thunderbirds (which get all the publicity lol)
