I feed Ziggy maybe 30 min ago when I checked on him before I got in bed he did a short hiss then maybe 5 min later I heard a sound from him that sounded like a sneeze and I think a second or third one few min later
I looked it up on line could be ri what are your thoughts

I check his Mouth once a week/month if he let me last time I saw his mouth nothing stood out of the norm and I try to keep the humidity about 70 no more then 80% when not in shead and in shead 80%

Snakes don't sneeze though... is it possible that he was defecating?
If he's acting/looking normal and there's no weight loss for strange sounds I wouldn't worry too much, just keep an eye on him if he was my boy

Snakes passing a little gas can be a very weird sound. It's not something they do often, but when they do... it can be very startling.

I have seen video clips from fb passing gas from the butt and the owner said exactly what you said

Consider lowering the humidity from 80% when the reptile is in shed. That high of a percentage is really too much. I know it can be challenging to keep humidity levels stable but we have to monitor it daily. 60% to 70% is more than adequate. How and what devices are you using to heat the enclosure? Measure the humidity? Make sure he has gotten all the shedding off from and around his head and upper and lower jaws. His airway and heat sensing pits can be partially blocked with stuck old skin that didn’t shed off.

Were you actually looking right at him when each incident occurred? Because off-hand, I'd vote for this most likely being "passing gas" too.

As already mentioned, snakes cannot literally sneeze or cough, but if they're choking on something (as when regurgitating) their thrashing can cause some sounds. Did you check to see if he regurgitated his meal?

If there's no regurgitation, & he's not making any more sounds & appears calm (resting or sleeping), I'd chalk this up to passing gas & stop worrying. Try not to disturb him when you peek in on him- snakes need to feel safe & secure while digesting.

Well, they can & do. And being a wide body* snake, BPs have occasionally surprised more than one keeper with the sound level. :D

I’ve heard about 3 times in the last 10 years or more and I’ve never had less than 10 snakes …. So it’s maybe not that common but does occur and sound is extremely loud !!
