Happy Blogging Holidays!

Well I figured I needed an outlet for my ADD/ADHD warped mind so:

GLASS - THE BLOG! is born!


Here you can read my frequent, most likely offensive and definitely not politically correct pontifications on all things under the sun.

Seriously though, I love to write so I figured this would be a good forum for a little creativity. Hope you enjoy it and maybe get a chuckle or two out of it!

Awesome Jamie, I am definately looking forward to checking in.

I have a livejournal (username: unimom), and an account on myspace as well. I loath myspace, but my RL friends from HS are there, so it's an easy way to keep up. I have made many new friends on LJ though, and even a romantic interest. Yikes, I am crazy. He is coming out to visit me next week. Don't worry he is a friend of RL friends, and we have met in person once before. Funny, I wasn't looking for anything at the time....

I actually have never heard of livejournal but ill check it out for sure! Myspace is a cool idea (building on the original Friendster concept) but I don't have any friends so its depressing (hahah). I like the idea of a blog and have wanted to do one for a long time so we'll see! Good luck with the romantic interest!!

I'm at lj too, same name, and love it for keeping up with folks. Livejournal is fun, very customizable, and great for lazy people who want to look at one place for everybody's blog like myself. *pimps LJ* But yay blogging! It rocks to have an outlet :D

I checked it out but I wanted something that I can easily update and put on my own site. I am sure both work fine! I love that you added Gomez to your pets sections already!! hahah...

I'll have to check out all this live journal/blogging stuff though gawd knows I gab enough in this forum to wear out more than one set of fingers! LOL

Okay you can all laugh at me if you like but what exactly is a "blog" and where did that term come from anyway?

Hey there! Blogger.com is good because you dont need to know any HTML to make a professional cool looking blog. Blog according to google is:

Blog is short for weblog. A weblog is a journal (or newsletter) that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption. Blogs generally represent the personality of the author or the Web site.


By the way, if you ever need a definition, just go to google and type in definition and then the word and it will come up!

I just updated my blog with a post about the loneliness of my Tivo in this time of holiday reruns.

And yeah, it didn't take me long at all to include Gomez, Jamie, lol. :love: I *really* hope the flexwatt arrives on Monday because I'm anxious about his enclosure not being properly heated in time. :please:

Hey Jo,

I like livejournal.com because it allows me to journal. I can make things completely private, share with friends only or make some journals public, I can also set up special groups of friends that I share only certain things with or set up just one person in a private share catagory. I also like it because it's free, however, if I want to (and eventually I will) I can become a paid member and receive more services. i.e. more pics, search features and the ability to make polls and such things.

I really need to learn how to customize my LJ better, and I need to find a unicorn (that isn't stolen from somewhere) icon tooo!

I am an icon makin fool, feel free to make requests :) Even semi-animated icons. My Jareth/Labyrinth one is the only one I didn't make myself, and I made all but one of Karen's too. It's fun! I'd be happy to make you a unicorn icon, whatever image/style you like.

We can do that. It wont matter much either way. I am gone as of Tuesday anyway so my fiance will have to do the packing and shipping whether its tuesday or the following tuesday. Let me know! :)

Yippee, I would love that! Thank you! I prefer unicorns that look like horses but not childish (i.e. "my little ponyish" unicorns blech). BTW I fell in love with David Bowie when in the fifth grade because of Jareth/Labyrinth! I still have a weakness for thin men with long hair that sing in tight pants. I'm sorry was that TMI?

Yes I did, I have this thing where I keep my favorite quotes from movies, at the end Sarah says to Jareth "You have no power over me." I love that line!

*thwaps Jamie* Labyrinth is a classic!! :P And as for Gomez, if it doesn't come tomorrow I'll let you know so we can wait a week, I don't want to risk not having perfect warm coziness for him to come home to.

I'm *such* a Bowie fan. Started with Labyrinth, continued with the rest of his music, style, etc and so forth. He's my all time favorite musician, which is why our rabbit with one blue eye and one brown is named Bowie. I can't call it a crush exactly, but I do love the man! Huge Jareth centric framed Labyrinth poster over the bunny cage even. Henson + Bowie + Barn Owls=:love:
