My Tinley Park NARBC pickups
Just wanted to show off my two new BPs. Picked them up on Sat. March 9th at the Tinley Park NARBC. I got them from Garrick of Royal Constrictor Designs. Gonna add four pictures. The female is so chill and pretty a little chunkier than the male. The lil pin pied male is a fire cracker. He makes for a nice model in pictures. But isn't hesitant in trying to tag😂. He just needs to get used to it around here. Still getting acclimated to the new surroundings and enclosures. So only one photo shoot for them and I will leave them alone for awhile. So happy with them. My first pied and first albino.

Yes, they are here almost 2 weeks now. After a week I offered them food. Neither are, just chalked it up to needing more time to get situated. They had their photoshoot a few days ago. He is very nervous and hissy. But I thought he looked really cool in that position. He will be left alone now to destress. I am sure it is a crazy feeling getting out in deli cups and then traveling and then put on display with new noises and everything. Then get carted around for the rest of the show. Put in a new enclosure and environment they never saw before. It must be scary. I feel for them. But they are drinking, and the female let out a huge poo the other day. All I have to do is be patient and get them started on eating. I am happy with them though.

Amazing pickups! Garrick was the first breeder that I purchased from back in 2015. All great quality animals and a reputable pioneer in the ball python and gecko industry. I still have the original piebald female that I bought from Garrick. She’s given me several clutches over the years. Your pair are typical hatchlings that will do well with you as they settle in. Usually a hatchling that’s a tagger is also a great feeder. What are you offering them as prey items? Also, be sure to read the stickies here on the forum about hatchling set ups and feedings. We have a ton of info on here so don’t worry.

I've found that is generally the case too- I welcome "taggers". :D Just a little misplaced enthusiasm, is all.
Re: My Tinley Park NARBC pickups
I honestly didn't expect them to eat. I have a few trouble feeders and know how to deal with that now. I had a feeling that I was offering a little soon, but I figured I would try. I bought a ton of mice from the show too. Garrick told me he prefers small meals twice a week. I have crawlers for them. He did tell me that if I wanted, I could up prey size to once a week. He said small adult or rat fuzzys would be fine for them. I have a yearling male that I tried upping the size and he won't eat anything large. He likes small prey. So for right now I just wanted to go with what they were used to eating with Garrick until they are settled enough to deal with change. He did tell me they were both good eaters, so I am sure it is an adjustment issue rather than something being 'wrong'. They were both tucking their heads under their bodies and trying to hide. I am sure they need a little time. Mr. Pied did strike, but at my hand not the mouse, lol! Thanks for the compliments. Garrick was a very nice person and always answered any question I had. In person he was even nicer. I like his videos as well, very informative.
