Been very very busy lately ... but I thought I'd put some pictures up!

I have over 100 breeding shots so far. I've been sizing and cropping like crazy. Some of you guys know how superstitious I am about breeding season so I don't really like to talk about what I'm doing until I "know" ... I'm solid about this batch ... and I'll have more pics in a few weeks ... January is usually when I get a better "feel" for who's going to lay.

You are a mad man! I thought you just collected BP morphs (KIDDING)! I must say you are well on your way to making some great combos and het. combos this year, great job. I truly need to make it over to "the shop" soon, don't worry I'll bring my own drool towel to keep your floors clean. And by the way, all of your males are truly excellent representations of each mutation, the quality really shows through.

Has Ralph or Wes proved the "mystery" gene of the Platty Daddy yet? I haven't had time to look through records. If so, is it like a Lesser X Hypo like you're breeding, Adam? Just a theory from an amateur.

Vaughn, he is gorgeous man! Cant wait to hatch out an Albino. They are still one of my favorites and I have to admit, I have never seen one in person.

Ive never seen an albino BP in person either! I went to the Taylor, MI reptile show on 12/10 and someone there had a beautiful pastel female with a lot of orange on her, just absolutely stunning! Thats the only morph ive ever seen with my own eyes.


Adam your BPs are just amazing! I cant wait to get my 06 albino from you! After the holidays im stocking away every penny i can spare! Keep up the good work man you have definately inspired me!

LOL sometimes I just sit with little Malachi on my lap and think "oh my gawd, you actually carry my future albino in you!" Still astounds me that someday, if I'm very lucky and the BP Gods smile down on me, I'll see a little albino head peeking out of an egg. (okay I'm a total dweeb, but that makes me all dang misty okay!)

Now to save up for a 100% het for albino female for lil Mal.

Overseas?? How do snakes take to being shipped overseas? Doesn't it stress them? I guess they go in special containers or whatever with heating etc. Now I am interested - in a year or two - in a Piebald baby BP - I could meet him/her at the airport :love: No kidding, though, if they ship fine I would rather buy from someone I know who's a good breeder than from one I don't know in the UK.

Thanks! It's good to know there are friendly, supportive breeders out there. There are some who seem to take good care of their snakes and breed beautiful morphs, but have no desire to help anyone else achieve the same goals. (In fact, they can be downright snooty about it! LOL) My thought is that the best way to be successful at something is to talk with and learn from someone else who has already experienced both failures and success in that same endeavor. I'm sure you'll still be around when my turn finally comes....and if by then you're as big and successful as NERD and I can say "I knew you when..." hehehe

Funny you should say that Judy, I was just talking with someone about that very thing the other day on the phone. It's wonderful to have this support and guidance from people like Adam, Kara, Joe, etc. I used to know a few purebred dog breeders and wow you want to talk about cliques....not nice...not nice at all!

The spider is breeding incredibly well this year too!

As a matter of fact, all of my males are so strong this year I can hardly believe it! .... I've never had a better year breeding ball pythons!
