What will I get if i breed a normal male ball python to a female 100% het piebald?

a 50% het piebald. that means that the offspring have a 50% percent chance of being het for piebald:)

Keep in mind it would be a real waste of a valuable adult het pied female to breed her to a normal and not at least a $250 het pied male and have a shot at $3-$5K pieds. Generally lop sided breedings are the other way around where the pairing only represents a small percentage of the valuable male's annual breeding potential.

If you are trying to produce piedballs doing this breeding will be a waste of your time.You will have to keep back all the males and breed them back to the mother in order to see if any hold the pied gene.This of course will take several years.Since you allready have a 100% het female buy a 100% het male as the males are cheap compared to the females.I hope this explaines everything:) .

I thought you allready had the 100% het pied female.You can expect to pay around $1400 and up for a pair of 100% het pieds.Check www.kingsnake.com out.I have a friend who i think might have some 100% het pied pairs,RUSTY DAVIS AKA RUSTYS BALLS.He is on kingsnake also and he is a person you can trust with no problems before or after the sell.Let us know if you pick up a pair or not.

no, i dont have any piebalds yet, i will prob buy a male because I dont have the money for a female :(

Do you have any normal females? If not buy a couple of them this year, get a het pied next year, then breed when everyone is up to size, keep all of the 50% possible het pied females....then breed them back to dad....that should get you pieds...or at least that is my plan ;)

If you buy a 100% het pied male you would have to breed him to a normal female.Then you would have to keep back all the baby females from the clutch.Then raise them to breed with thier father.This would take of course several years before you could produce a piedball.I would start saving up and buy a pair of 100% het pied balls.
