BP seems hungry but gets the right feeder size
My ball python 3 months old weighs a little over 100 gramms and I am feeding him a mouse 17-20 gramms every 6/7 days. According to feeding chart this is correct and he eats it with no problem even though I was worried it would be too much for him since some people say 10% of body weight is good.
Anyhow, he digest for about 2 days in his hide but then he is out and about again roaming the enclosure and seemingly searching for prey. I wonder if he is hungry even though he should get enough. Will he grow right with this?
He is a little triangular, not rounded. It's not bad at all but not as plump as older BP's look.

Yes this was originally the size I wanted to feed him but my local shop did't have this size and the smaller mize where way too small for him so I went for the slightly bigger ones and he took them better then I expected. He never regurgetated and is active shortly after feeding.
So now I am wondering if I should keep this size or downgrade for him.

He has the visable spine but it's not too bad. Although I would prefer if he were a little rounder like other BP's I have seen but I am hoping he grows quickly.

You actually want some spine ridge. Especially if they are laying as it is in the pic kinda wrapped around something. If it's rounded you are probably looking at a overweight snake.
Check out the diagram here.

This! I feed all my hatchlings on a 5 day feeding schedule until they hit the 500g mark

If I feed a larger meal I wait a little longer to feed them again. If I feed a smaller meal they eat a little sooner next time. Your prey size is good and your feeding frequency is just fine. Don’t pay them too much attention when they “act” hungry, especially after an appropriate meal. Some snakes are always up for more food.

This my female is on strict diet now, 5 year old and never had any feeding issues she’s packed on the pounds, same schedule but smaller feeders
