Blackbox & Focus Cube Habits pvc enclosure

Does any one have these? Looking at 4x24x24 on both sides Blackbox comes out to be lil over 500$
And focus cube lil over 700$ web done with both options....
Wait time on black box is normal. Wait time on focus could be about 25wk.

If anyone has one of these boxes, would like to here your input & see some pictures

well I have decided to go big,
I will be starting with ordering a pre heat RHP PH-12 100w
then I will place an order for a Focus cube Ratio :)
I am going to give this girl a nice home.
4ft x24 x24

Question my ball was born 6/7/21
would i have i have to wait about 1yr to put her in an enclosure this big? when will be the best time?

I ordered 4 of the Black Box cages (4' x 2 x 2) and got them 10 days later. Just got them set up. White, RHP's and LED's installed. Really like them, great customer service and very responsive over IG.

I don't think it would be a problem to put a young BP in there. I have a youngster in one of mine. Just need a lot of clutter and decor in there to help them feel secure.

THOSE are clean looking, How small is your ball python or how old is this youngest one that you have in one of these cages?
VE or Pro Heat RHP? which did u go with? they told me that they would put pro heat RHP on for free, if i ship it to them...
and are the 80w VE panels, what do they max out at? for hot spot? in temp? im curious?

And today was my balls 7 days, she came in last week, the wait was over, it was really nice holding her, i will be ordering herpstat 2,,,,,
some where down the line in a few years ill pick me up a male :)

The little guy is only 240g. Surprisingly active. I wondered how he would do in a big cage. I don’t personally subscribe to the idea of needing to upgrade cages, as long as there’s not a ton of open space and the hides are appropriately sized. Pretty sure my RHP’s are VE - I didn’t substitute anything but didn’t ask either. Hot spot is ~90https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...9869ebf8f2.jpg

Also where are you getting your Herpstat 2? I was waiting to order one (either that or the Herpstat 4) and could not find them anywhere the past couple months. Emailed them and they said they didn’t have an ETA. Went with two VE 300x2’s, one is great but having issues with the second one I ordered (I made a post about it) and will probably need to exchange it.

I saw that a few weeks ago and was actually going to buy them, but read somewhere that the company was kind of scammy(?) and was accepting payments for things that were out of stock. Including Herpstats. So made me nervous. Figured if everyone else was out of them, then they were too and I wouldn’t be getting my money back easily. At least from what I read, but hopefully I’m wrong!

Eh, in that case I’d be wary if you read some shady reviews of them. I didn’t know that about them as I’ve never purchased through them that I can recall.

Keep in touch with Spyder Robotics. Dion is a really good guy and makes a great thermostat that won’t let you down. And if it does he’ll make it right.

Oh OK, so i can hook this up to my heat mat, thats UTH and just set it to my desire temp, and leave it there, and do not have to worry about these day / night cycle? right now im just using ipower thermostat 21$ amazon,
By the way i am new to all of this, i am only on day 8 of being a ball python owner ....

No worries, you should be able to set any Herpstat to the desired temp and it’ll be fine. With the SpyderWeb versions you can check the temps remotely if you’re gone from the house for example, and adjust temps if you want to if I remember correctly.

I've only just heard of Blackbox through this thread. How would peeps say they compare to AP? Because the far faster turnaround times look enticing for future endeavors even with the higher price compared to waiting a century for anything from AP (I ordered a T10 3 months ago and it'll probably be another 7 minimum before I see it based on other's experiences).

when I talk to them in emails about there wait time, I think he said no more then 2week, I'm good I just weight my girl today she is only 99 grams.
But I am going with Focus cube, the Ratio wait time on that is about 5 months, plus I wont see my RHP from pro products in about 4wks.
