it would really help a lot if you said what kind they were, lol. if there ball pythons, they're fine and just make sure your husbandry is right. temps humidity, secure hides, etc. and they will start eating again sooner or later.

P.S. are they being housed in the same cage? if they are they could be not eating do to stress. if not it might be the season change, or inproper husbandry.

    Re: there not eating
you need to keep them seperate, most likely they are stressed out because of the other. you said they're very active. do they come at during the day? and they could be trying to escape because they dont feel comfertable in there encloser(correct me on that one if im wrong) are their hides on the warm and cool side of the cage and are those hides secure enough for them?

age has nothing to do with knowledge... i know many 12 year olds that know waaaaaay more than many 40 year olds!!!

when something is your passion, it's amazing how much you end up learning about it.

    oh and happy birthday!!!

That's really not the best way to get others to want to help you. You came on here soliciting advice, and when you didn't like Marshall's advice, you insulted him. Nice!

Age is not a good indicator of ability or knowledge. You asked for help, you were offered it.

I would suggest you carefully read over the caresheet for ball pythons on this forum and check that you are caring for these two snakes as it advises to. If you are indeed keeping them together they are best seperated as these snakes do not need or want companionship or a "cage buddy". They may have done okay up until now but sometimes dominance and stress takes awhile to show with snakes.

Any change in their setup needs to be followed by a week or so of settling in, quiet time and then you could try to offer their food at that point and see how it goes.

There could be a number of reasons they are refusing, some serious, some no big deal really but addressing any husbandry concerns is always number one with me if one of my snake's won't eat.

You may also wish to read this thread on why it's NOT a good thing to house two balls in the same enclosure:

i have to agree with mr python on his advice. also, i can not believe that he gave that kind of response to the advice. i guess some people just can't handle being told and realizing that they are wrong. Oh and roez if you are an adult work on the grammar and spelling before you start criticizing an 8th grader for trying to help you out, python is knowledgeable from what i have read on the forums. and HAPPY 13th man.

You might also want to consider TROLLING LESS before people smack your reputation points down so low you get effectively neutered in terms of being able to so much as post.

Yes, you get ripped off having your birthday on Christmas, there is no sense denying it. On the other hand, I never had to go to school on my birthday, and I only had to go to work once.

im so lucky my birthday is december 8th, never usually had school and i dont get ripped off cos its still a few weeks from xmas, sayin that i always asked for money and used it to buy everyones xmas presents so i didnt really get anything but personal satisfaction that everyone else got a xmas pressie lol that was good enough for me.
no work on my bday this year either, its my normal day off yay!

my son turns 12 on dec. 6th. he absolutely doesn't get ripped off. we wait to put up the tree until after his birthday and he gets great gifts... but i was 'trained' well... my friend, back when he was born, had her birthday on dec 24th and so she had a lifetime of disappointing birthdays and tutored me well in the fine arts of not mixing christmas (or yule) and his birthday :)

    happy 24th bev!

I never had school on my birthday, but this year I graduate on my birthday, so I'll problably get shafted on that, oh well. Btw Happy 13th! And don't mind Rose, I used to have to deal with the same thing, some people would hear my age and immediatly think I'm uninformed.

    Happy belated Birthday Marshall!

LOL I know what you all mean by getting shorted cause your b-day is so close to x-mas.... mine is Jan. 6th, Mom use to combine x-mas and my brothers b-day on Dec. 30 and my b-day into one occassion. We always hated that. But what can ya do? Nada. Just deal with it. LOL
