Temperature preferances for Super Dwarves?
Hello,
Do super dwarves typically have slightly different preferences for temperature than their mainland counterparts?
Thank You!

I guess it will depend on their parents somewhat .. my SD Albino Retic reaches just 7’ and was puppy dog tame ..
It was however very inquisitive and lightning fast with a voracious appetite.
I just threw the thawed rat in with it and ran for cover

I have a SD albino coming in, he's 25% madu 25% kalatoa.
His father is just around 7 feet at 11 years old, mother is around 9 feet at 5 years old.

Sounds very promising... I strongly recommend you using the tap training method !!

Hook training, you use a hook to tap them slightly to get them out of food mode, its pretty easy but you have to do it routinely

I meant to say, I know what “hook” training is.
So I’m guessing hook training and tap training are the same thing?

Just realised the thread says temperatures:)
I read it as ‘temperaments’
:)

Sadly our granddaughters spending more time here kinda impacted on my bigger snakes .. I was under pressure from the wife anyways... to reduce the number of snakes ( 24) as she only initially agreed to me having ONE :)
It just seemed logical to stick with the Royals and Corn snakes as I can get them out for the girls to watch and touch knowing that every one is completely trustworthy and calm ..
I never really felt that way with the Boas , Burms and Retics ..

What size enclosure were you keeping your SD in?
Was it arboreal?

Im going to be starting mine off in a 40gallon breeder, I have a 1 1/2 inch pvc pipe perch set up in the middle for him to climb on/bask, hopefully he uses it!
