Anyone seen an enclosure like this???
I stumbled upon this a while back. I think it may be a really cool custom build for my Bredli and Carpet's forever enclosures. I like the idea of different levels like that. I feel like it would allow for plenty of enrichment while also offering multiple temp zones. Obviously a few tweaks would be made. The sides would be solid rather than glass, first of all.

My biggest concern would be heating. I'm not quite sure how I'd go about that. My snake room is filling up, so I'm heating the room and just using RHPs and UTHs for hot spots right now. So a RHP in each enclosure would do the trick. I'm not sure about placement though.

Has anyone seen something like this done?

Any thoughts at all are welcome.

I love it! Haven't seen one like that before, what a great idea! Do you know what the occupants are? I think quite a few snakes would enjoy that style.

I like it however I would likely replace the sides a solid wood panel as well so it's more heat efficient and offer more privacy, that's a lot of glass ;)

I do not know what is/was in the enclosure. I just stole the pic off Pinterest.
But that's what I'm saying, it almost looks like paradise for many species of snake, or reptile for that matter.

Yeah, definitely. I mentioned that above as one of the tweaks. Even the front is a lot of glass. I'd likely eliminate some glass from the front too. Maybe taller litter dams and such.

The build would be easy. Plus an excuse to buy a few new tools :D

I've got plenty of time, I weighed them both today coincidentally and they're 123 & 102 grams. If I'm gonna do it I'm gonna do it right. It'll probably cost more than if I went with APs, but I really like the idea. I'm thinking 6 footers with a 2 foot depth and 3 foot height.

It'll be a while. The two I'm planning for are under a year old. But I'll definitely start a thread on the build if I go that route. :snake::gj:

That's what I like...minor tweaks could keep MANY different species happy & active. :gj: Ever since I made a really large hide for the BCI I used to have, I've been sold on the
idea of "multi-stories" within our enclosures to encourage our snakes to get around instead of LAY around, & also using appropriately-sized branches & such.

Maybe you should start making these to sell, once you get yours done...? :D

Agreed. I definitely think these two would use every inch. More active species should definitely be given the room when possible, in my opinion.

That's not a bad idea. I'm pretty convinced that I'm done with the restaurant biz for good. Time for change!!! So any income generator is worth looking into. I'm pretty sure Chip n' Dales won't be calling anytime soon

Probably a good idea with carpets to limit the amount of glass in the front as well and I would do Plexi, adult carpet can hit hard on feeding day they are so food driven ;)
