    My new 'special' tree frog
I got this guy at work today. He has a special secret: he has an extra toe growing out of his armpit. Gross, huh? You can see it in the second pic.

No clue.. could be genetic, or a pollutant or something.

Mr froggie feels a little better now he says.

I decided to name him Gak because when I was in the car on the way home, he jumped on the car window and made a big 'splat' noise like that gak stuff. He's about the right color too.

Wow. Frogs are so susceptible to pollutants, I wouldn't be surprised if that's the cause. Poor little bugger :upset:

I used to have a cat that had an extra toe on each hind foot which were basically "dead" toes. Whenever he walked across the kitchen floor, you knew he was coming because of the "click, click" noise his nails made as he walked, hehe. I can picture Gak climbing the glass, and getting his extra toe caught on something :) He sure is cute!

Polydactyl cats are fairly common. I've seen a few before.

Gak's toe doesn't seem to bother him.. it's kinda squished in his armpit.

    hey Shelby,
Mr. Gak is very cute. I would suspect some type of birth defect, I would keep an eye on it though, You may be able to check with your distributor, if he is WC or CB. I'm assuming WC, but I'm a bit of a pesamist(sp?). You would want to keep a good eye on it, (the toe I mean) so that he doesn't get it caught and torn on something. It looks healthy and live. Maybe he could be Gak, and his toe could be named Junior.
