Makes me want to buy more shirts with rattlesnakes on them. People are such wusses...they can't even handle a picture of a snake!? Geez...

Honestly, many (!) years ago, long before I got into snakes, I worked with a guy who was reading the newspaper on the job (it was a slow night at work) & all of a sudden he yelled & threw down the paper, insisting
that we tear out the picture of a snake. Bit of a "melt-down", & we're talking about a black & white image, & not even that big...certainly didn't take up much of the page. Thought I'd seen "everything"...

I am sorry but That shouldn’t be that funny. My uncle is terrified of them. He can’t want them on television. But on a shirt or publication is not that bad.

Sheesh. I don't even know what to say to this one...
I guess if it came down to changing the shirt or missing my flight I'd just change the shirt, but I don't know. I might raise a stink and miss my flight just on principle, especially if it was my Gadsden Flag "Don't Tread on Me" tee, hahahaha!!!
That'll be the day somebody tells me what I can and can't wear based on an inoffensive logo. I could see it if it was inappropriate due to vulgar content or words, but an image of an animal???? Come the heck on!!!! Wouldn't happen if it was a panda, or a puppy.....

Pretty much. It caused anxiety.

Interestingly I would guarantee that they would never ask someone with a t-shirt with a dog on it to turn it inside out, yet statically there am more people who have negative or even traumatic encounters with dogs than snakes.

Especially the little cute “family dogs”.

Exactly!!! As a child my fiance was bit in the face by a dog. She's not necessarily "afraid" of dogs, but extremely apprehensive, on edge and uncomfortable around them. Yet she doesn't raise a stink when people have their little doggies with them in the grocery store or Walmart, let alone wear a T-shirt with a picture of a dog.

When a society gives in to this stuff, where does it stop? When we're all wearing plain white t-shirts? But wait, someone might have had a bad experience with the color white?

And there's a lot of shirts & other gear that feature pit-bulls too...better ban them.

So a passenger didn't even complain, it was airport security who took it upon themselves to make this call?
Personally I think someone who is upset by a mere image of a snake should find another line of work than security.

They can definitely cause a lot more damage than our snakes!
