My Coastal Carpet Python...
Hi guys/gals just wanted to post a picture of my new Coastal. It’s named Thanos and he’s about 1.5 years old. I hooked a log up high and he seems to love it....Guess Carpets being semi-arboreal is true since it took him no time to get comfy up on its log. I just got him this morning so have not weighed him or gotten to measure him. Does he seem a good normal size for his age? Thanks.
Re: My Coastal Carpet Python...
My bad can’t post pics directly to site...Guess Pics have to get posted to a 3rd party site and url posted here. Oh well guess I’ll never post pics on site.

Downloaded tapatalk...Thank you for the idea. Well here’s a picture of my new buddy. Does he look to have good size on him for his age?

Re: My Coastal Carpet Python...
Thanks...I also have an Ivory Blood Python (Cronos), Sharp Sunglow Boa (Mr Wiggles), Mexican Alligator Lizard (Yoda), 2 Prairie Dogs (Tita and Ninii) and a rat (Mr Jingles). I’ve cut down quite a bit...Used to have about 16 animals bit space is tight so had to cut back.

Re: My Coastal Carpet Python...
I agree with Craig. ZERO tape inside enclosures.
To secure things like probes to the wall of the tank, drill small holes and use a small plastic zip tie. Put the small end in the tank and the loop/lock end outside the tank. Works great.
Re: My Coastal Carpet Python...
Thank you guys....Wow thats 1st I’ve ever heard about the tape issue. I love the hell out of all my animals so I’ll definitely be removing tape from all my snakes cages and using zipties. Have any of you had a Carpet Python so tame that you though it might be sick lol? This Coastal is the tamest snake I’ve ever had....Hard to get used to not getting attacked constantly LOL. Then again the more defensive snakes I’ve owned were blood pythons and rear fanged venomous snakes and most are known for being a bit nippy haha. Thanks again guys.

Re: My Coastal Carpet Python...
Rear fanged I’ve had 2 Malaysian Mangroves (1 baby and 1 adult), a false water cobra and a hognose. The Malaysians Mangroves are so damn beautiful....I just didn’t like the fact that I had them in gorgeous naturalistic enclosures but since they’re nocturnal I hardly ever saw them. The adult I had was very cage defensive and outside the cage he was still a handfull lol. The baby Mangrove hardly ever struck at me in and out the cage. The water Cobra actually got fairly tame after a while and I handled bare handed but still did not trust it 100%. My current Ivory blood python has calmed down quite a bit with regular Tap training....Started 5 mins four times a week and worked up to 15mins and in last 2 months has not struck at me at all. I’ve also had a baby Coastal Carpet, Biak Green Tree Python, Leucistic Texas Rat snake (black eyed), Hog Island Boa, Woma Python, 7 Ft yellow tailed Cribo, Cinnamon Clown ball python. I’ve also had quite a few lizards. Currently have the Coastal Carpet, Sharp Sunglow Boa, Ivory Python, Bearded dragon, Mexican Alligator lizard, 2 prairie dogs and a rat [emoji16].
