SHOW ME YOUR ORANGE COLORED BP!!..No babies pls, but 2yo+ Orange hue &morph pls????
I have considered Bananas/Coral Glows which are stunning when young and pretty much unmatched but all I read and see with them is that the orange goes to yellow. Next I absolutely love the CLOWN gene, and when young its so unaturally and beautiful but i feel like from what i see, it doesnt hold well, looses its boldness and contrast....So.....with such drastic changes in coloration and hue and boldness, its so impossible to pick a snake that i like as I wish I could stop the clock and stop the change to come on so many babies I see because it seems like what I am seeing as babies and juv quickly goes away.......SO......Anyone have pics of the most orange "holding" maintaining combinations in your collection? LET ME SEE YOUR ORANGE HUES AND STATE YOUR GENE COMBO AND AGE OF YOUR BP PLS.......IS THERE ANY ORNAGE THAT LASTS??????????

Sorry I don’t have any pics for you. I personally love the coral glows. I will tell you this though. Normals don’t ever lose color or patterns. #normalgang

Yes I agree. I was a normal owner for 10yrs, about 20yrs ago. Someone I stumbled upon this morph revolution and fell down the rabbit hole of this morph revolution and i have been spending every waking hour on line looking at every single for sale specimen. And after falling in love with babies and juv snakes for sale for 3 weeks and over 100 saves to my wish list I started to do follow up research on each morph to bring myself up to speed and to educate myself and you have nailed my single biggest frustration...my normal never really changed much in 5plud years and yet I find/feel that all of the genes/morphs that I have fallen in love with in the last 3 weeks seem to go through unimaginable transformations ...so I find myself still on the hunt and I find myself searching for progression pics of all the morphs i love....thanks for sharing your"normal" comment but i definitely hold out hope and welcome all your BP pics of any orange hues, colors designs that are holding on, pls tell me I can find this to be true, I am so hopeful that they exist...SHOW ME YOUR ORANGE COLORATION PLS!!!!....

Almost all morphs will not look as good as adults as they did as hatchlings but there is one that seems to hold color as an adult, Desert Ghost. It is an enhancer gene so you can take any combo you like and add DG to it and it should look great as an adult. I'm working with a couple different orange dream combos and adding desert ghost to them with the same goal, an orange adult snake. It is a little more time consuming because DG is a recessive gene but so far the DG adults I've seen have been just as beautiful as hatchlings. My adult orange dream enchi still has some beautiful orange sides but as a hatchling her whole body was orange. I'm hoping once I get DG into the mix I will have an all orange snake that won't fade as an adult.

For now the only adults I can think of that have orange is maybe some albino combos. I don't work with albino so I'm not sure but it's the only one I can think of.

Thanks for sharing your experience and info. The coral/glow bananas are unreal to start, literally look photo shopped but then......lol......I have been fining enchi and blk pastel to be great enhancers as well but I will most certainly get on the DG track to do my research. Pinstripe/Enchi/GHI added to the mix seem to help from what I have come across, but obviously I am not a breeder just an online "drooler" for the moment (looking to make a purchase)when I stumble across all of the juv for sale pics.

I have an Enchi Lesser Ghost that has really held her orange colors well. Here are a couple pics of her. The group shot she is at the low right and she is about 3 months old. In the single photo she's about two years old.

Here is my male, he is outside your age requirements as he's not quite a year, but at 1200g he's full adult sized and coloration:

Mango is Banana Enchi Orange Ghost and that lock is to a single gene Calico girl.

I haven't seen a cinnamon pin but I know cinnamon enchi makes a really nice dark orange combo. I'll be going for that combo with Desert Ghost as well so hopefully that will really clean it up and brighten it. I will also have genetic black back in the mix and cinnamon enchi genetic black back is another really crazy dark orange combo, you can check it out on wobp http://www.worldofballpythons.com/mo...innamon-enchi/ I unfortunately have not seen one as an adult but from what I've seen of Desert Ghost combos, they don't change much from hatchling to adult, just brighten up a bit. If you have not seen Desert Ghost adults, you can see what I'm talking about with pictures of my adults here: https://ball-pythons.net/forums/show...5-Desert-Ghost

So finally here yah go. She used to have better white on orange contrast when she was younger but I really like the deep oranges going down her spine.

Now this shot is from April 2018 but she pretty much has the same colors now. Sorry if the picture quality isn't thee best and if its older. I do have more recent shots of her but this is the best and newest one I got for now.

Thanks for what ever reason I had to keep only one of my ball pythons it would probably be her being a double visual recessive. Hopefully I never have to choose cause my bees are such sweethearts.

Here is my boy Noodle, an albino mojave. He's more golden yellow than orange but when he was a hatchling he was Cheeto puff orange! I have a pic of him as a baby from his breeder in his progression thread here.

He is 1 year and 3 months old and 453g in this photo:

    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...2019-12-07.jpg

He is of course not fully grown but I have had him for close to a year now and I haven't noticed any significant change in colour looking back on all the photos of him I've taken, and he's been through a few sheds with me. I'm hoping he'll hold onto those gorgeous yellow hues and that his mojave markings won't fade into the yellow as he ages.

The cornsnake is only a yearling, but the other two are adults. Admittedly, bright orange is much harder to get in BPs than cornsnakes and western hognose snakes.

Re: SHOW ME YOUR ORANGE COLORED BP!!..No babies pls, but 2yo+ Orange hue &morph pls??
Yes we are talking about ORANGE and yes we are only asking for BPs. The reason I started this thread is that I am looking to buy a BP and when looking at all the hatchling photos for sale they are spectacular and alot have orange coloration, yet as I look at pics of 1yo and older i see no orange hues that remain....so I am trying to disprove the disappointing realization that the orange babies fade to yellow......So IF you are out there, ANY ORAMGE coloration on a 1yo or older BP?? Anyone?? c'mon ....I am holding out hope that it does exist.....bps only pls

    What about Ultramel?

These guys start out as a nice orangey yellow, and while they do fade a little, they semm to retain their color as they age.

I imagine if you throw and enhancer gene in there, you could even get a bright orange

Like I said before, the only orange bp that stays orange as an adult is albino, some are more yellow too but orange adults are out there, just a quick look at wobp and I found a bunch. The only other chance of getting an orange adult bp still needs to be created. Myself and many others I'm sure are working on projects to hopefully create combos that will remain orange but it will be a while before they get proved as adults. For now albino is the only orange adult your going to find.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c6841097e9.jpg

I agree most of the snakes posted are closer to yellow than orange but that's because I don't think anyone has a true orange adult. The ones you posted are a nice orange but won't be orange as adults. I've seen some amazing orange banana/coral glow combos as hatchlings but they all go yellow as adults. I'm still hopeful with the right combo we will find a way to have an orange adult bp but only time will tell.

Thanks guys. I have been looking into cinnamon and more importantly gen stripe which seems to be very promising and taking the orange further than lots of others, including taking the orange further out in time than the super short lived CG and Ban which are truly spectacular but for so short a time. And yes I have seen lots of yellow but again the point of the thread was exactly that.....i was asking to see if anyone HELD their juvenile coloration specifically orange hue. Thanks for sharing, hope it holds...again personally I believe cinnamon and gen strip will ultimately be part of the key to getting us there.
