Successfully bred
Hi I was wondering if any of you have had any success breeding your own bp's at home???? If so I'd like to read about your experience.

Re: Successfully bred
You can find alot by using the search function of the forums. There are more than a few breeders here...be it "big time" or hobyists.

Re: Successfully bred
I pretty much have an Idea who the big timers are, I want the average Joe's story. Thank's for the info.

Re: Successfully bred
Adam is one of the big timers I was refering to , So far from what I've read in here he's a very respected breeder. The reason I started this thread was to find out how many of my fellow BP lovers have been successful at breeding their own pets .

Re: Successfully bred
Probably 2 season's and counting before my first try, if I get lucky it will be next season.

I'm no big timer by any stretch, I'm just an average shmoe with a nice collection of snakes. I started breeding in my spare bedroom with a couple of rehabs that I saved from a pet store 10 years ago. For a long time I just bred my pets for fun, and then I got into producing morphs.
From those breeding way back in the day I've been able to reinvest the money I made selling babies and build the collection of morphs I have today. Anyone can do it if you work hard and put the time in.

Re: Successfully bred
Well god willing and the creek don't rise we'll know next year when Brannagh, Orlah and maybe even Saoirse are ready to go. Believe me I'm already researching, fretting, driving Mike nuts, looking at incubators, moving to a bigger house and generally acting like a crazy woman in preparation LOL.
You know Adam I never knew how you started out. Only 10 years and you've come so far baby! LOL I have to say when you shipped me Malachi and I saw the box marked "Franchino Reptiles" I got this big old shiver and prayed that one day someone, somewhere on a forum would be posting a pic of a beautiful baby snake produced by Franchino Reptiles! Wouldn't that just be a kick!
Excuse me have to go run now and google more stuff about breeding...one can never be too prepared LMAO

I have everything set to breed.....just waiting for the bps to get up to size ;) I have noticed that alot of us on bp.net are 'just getting into the game'.

Re: Successfully bred
I made that big timer post with respect, I'll be ordering a 100% het for albino male from Adam soon I'm in this for the long haul. I can't wait to breed my norm's first then my het's then my albino. Hopefully!! Yes just getting in the game.
