New Kahl Albino Soon to be progress thread
I put a down payment on a Male Kahl 100% Het Anery. My VE-6 comes in today, and I should have the snake paid off within 4 weeks. Ill post pics when I get him.

Thanks. I was debating about whether to save my money for repticon or not. I decided that since I have such a good local pet shop, that I would support them instead. The one good thing about this shop, is that they stand behind their animals. I figured if I have an issue with an animal from repticon I have no recourse. I cant take the animal back to anyone. To me being able to talk face to face, ask questions, and actually see the husbandry of these animals. I am willing to pay more money for this security. Plus its not like I am going to breed $5000 animals. I just want decent animals, at a decent price. His prices are comparable with MorphMarket. If anyone is in the Tucson area I recommend going to his shop. PM me if you want details.

This is an estimate (which I suck at). Id say just a bit over 12 inches.

Hey guys quick question. Is it still an issue if you breed visual kahl to visual kahl? Will the eyes still be messed up, or has this line been outbred enough?

    Looking good.

Are you sure it was a rat pup? They are usually 20-30G.

At 87G, he should be on small fuzzies (12G max I'd say) or smaller. I would be feeding hopper mice, then rat fuzzies, then pups, etc.

Smaller meals weekly at that size.

Although not nearly as common as with BCC, BI's can get regurgitation syndrome. Additionally, if temps are off even slightly, he might not be able to digest properly.

Hopefully he digests it okay, but a) I wouldn't feed for two weeks, and b) 8-12G prey is what I'd recommend from a weight perspective. You should not feed anything that leaves a big bump or that is visible more than 24 hours later with Boas.

Not trying to be difficult, but rather, trying to help you with him. I know in Behira's thread you said you didn't want to power feed, so I know you mean well. I just want to make sure he gets on track quickly.

Sorry I used the wrong terminology. It's the mouse version of a rat pup. I was just so excited that he ate. So it would be a fuzzy I believe.

Re: New Kahl Albino Soon to be progress thread
Thanks for all of the information. Yea I dont want to power feed him at all. I was doing some reading on the difference between slow grow and power feeding, and a fatty liver. From what I've read usually snakes that are powered die early. Is this true?

    2 things.

    1. Name has been changed to Slow Poke because all of his movements are extremely slow and deliberate.

    2. He has come out of QT.
