2019 hatching thread

Day 2. Still chilling and soaking up the yolk sacks.
The pairing was a het red axanthic Lesser female and 2 possible sires :
Leopard pastel OR black pastel yellowbelly.
I’m not sure yet, as I’m being patient for them to come out before I try to pull them out and ID the morphs.
I definitely noticed a few with lesser color, and so far all of them have wonky rings on them, but that could be HRA, Black pastel or leopard, not sure yet.

They are basically coming out now. Going to put them in tubs later.
One more possibly sire, her previous owner had locked her with a Piebald way back in 2018, so it’s possibly he is the one!
just judging by head color only, so far I have 3 lessers, and 3 non lessers, that’s all I can tell just yet.

Yes. They are healthy and doing well.
No good photos yet, been busy.
It’s a bit disappointing that they are visually only lesser and HRA like their mom.
The cool part is that almost the whole clutch got the Het Red Axanthic gene, and 3 got the lesser gene.
There are absolutely no visual genes I can tell from the sire, so odds are the pied male is the dad, and they are all het pied.
Or the dad could be black pastel yellowbelly and not a single morph was reproduced from him. (Really long odds)
I will get a photo today. I bought this girl gravid, from a breeder going out of business, so the pairing was not my choice, but they are pretty with those HRA rings.

Well they all look very healthy, and there's something to be said for that

Re: 2019 hatching thread
Clutch 2 hatching.

Looks like all pastel pieds, which I expected from a killer piedxpied. There was a firefly pied with her one time though.

Not sure yet

Wow, they all look nice! Great clutch! I think the firefly might of got in there, a couple look pastel but a couple look different but still bright. I'm just starting to research pied but I'm pretty sure that's too much variation to be just pastel pieds. Awesome clutch either way. Congrats!

Re: 2019 hatching thread
Congrats Zilla! You got some awesome looking little noodles there. I really like the one there at the bottom. Beautiful.
-
Hey I was just admiring them again and I think I figured out papa was the firefly. Here's why, the two on the bottom look like they have very little head blushing, so if I'm correct, those two are fire pied then the one above them is pastel pied and the one to the left is firefly pied. This is based on the color and head blushing. I have to go back and look at the others but that's what those look like to me.
-
If I had to guess on the first one, I'd say pastel paradox pied :D
The last one needs to come out of the egg before I guess on that one.
Overall, imo it's pretty clear you got lucky and the one time the firefly was with her, he got the job done. Really nice clutch man!

I’m going to wait until first shed before making that call. The low white guys with dark sides and little blushing are definitely pastel pieds. The ones with light orange splotches are not clear yet. Could be fire, pastel, both or even single morph pied.
I will present them each with their morph ID after first shed.

I think your right, I reversed the fire with the pastel. But I do think you have pastel and fire in the mix so imo that's better than just pastel so congrats, they are some nice looking pieds either way.

4 spiders and 2 normals.
All double hets for piebald and genetic stripe.
None were cut, all hatchlings pipped themselves out. A 5th spider was stillborn in gelled yolk sack and is not pictured.
