An Intro to Lenetta
I got my gecko!! It's the first gecko, or even reptile, I've ever owned. She's kind of skittish, but doesn't seem to mind handling. She's eating well and seems to have healthy fat reserves. Here is a link to a picture of her. I'm so excited!! https://1drv.ms/u/s!AnAqHQ7xL1vZiFmGAf9-ls-BDkpq
Any info/advice/experience welcome,

Make sure you have a humid hide plus 2 regular hides. When Leos go into shed or shedding, you may barely even notice as they eat their own shed. So providing a humid hide 24/7 to let them decide when they need to use it helps.

Geckos are SO cute! But be careful, they sneak out & sell insurance when you're not looking. :D

Thanks. When it comes to pets, I like to be on the safe side. For example, I am using cage carpet for the substrate because it has zero risk of impaction. i also heard that the humid hide can be used for a female laying eggs. Thanks again, Coyote

The only issue with cage carpet is keeping it clean. I'd have a couple on hand so you can throw it in the washer periodically. Or use paper towels... or pieces of tile also work and are easy to wipe down and clean.

yeah. I found that out the hard way. I was sick, and my gecko's carpet was FILTHY. I washed the carpet but had to wait till it was dry. i didn't have any paper towels, so I had to use paper napkins for substrate temporarily:(. I ended up going to petco to buy another one.:(
Now I have two.

They pick a corner and only defeated there. I would use paper towels only for that corner if you wish to keep the reptile carpet. I use tiles and river pebbles for most of the enclosure except for where he poops and warm spot.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1e362b2bab.jpg
