Katie (SunshineWalker) and I Get Married Today (5-18-19)

After almost three years together and being engaged for over 1 1/2 years, Katie and I are getting married today!

Due to a large fear of reptiles on Katie's side of the family, there will be none in the ceremony. However, all 5 dogs will be involved as we are doing it in our backyard. My sister has bow ties for the 4 boys and a bandana for the female dog (Bailey). Yes, we have 5 dogs for those who don't know (and 13 reptiles).

It's going to be immediate family and my two best friends. One of my best friends mother is performing the wedding as she is a justice of the peace. She's been a second mom to me almost my whole life.

I will post pictures, pending Katie's approval, ASAP.

As many of you know, Katie is the love of my life and my best friend. I couldn't be happier and I am pretty sure she feels the same.

Weather forecast is for sun and 73F. Iffy on controlling 5 dogs, but we are in the fenced in yard, so they will probably just hang near us and the few guests.

That’s good then then not over hot, have a fantastic day and make sure you have a drink or two

It was a great day!

We had one ice cream truck come through the neighborhood during the vows. Also, Moxie, one of our dogs, in the middle of the vows, knocked over one of decorations while lifting his leg and then proceeded to PEE on it! Sounds horrible, but it was a nice comedic break and everyone was laughing.

The wedding was 13 people total, including me and Katie.

Her folks, her grandparents, my folks, my sister, my two best friends, and my 2nd mom, who is one of my best friend's mother. She also officiated the ceremony as she is a justice of the peace.

I cannot omit that Banning, one of our dogs, was the "Best Dog." He propped himself down in front of the JOP, between me and Katie, looking at our family, and did not leave our sides the entire ceremony. He is an incredibly loyal guy who I rescued 10 years ago from a kill shelter after being abused and thrown out of a car as a puppy. He, as well as Tyler, my two dog additions to the family, are very happy to have a momma, officially. I think Sam, Moxie, and Bailey, feel the same about officially having a dad now.
