Royals and riches (i.e., the BPs showcase snake-themed jewelry!)
-
Even though I'm not much into jewelry, I confess to having my share of snake-themed jewelry & belts (not to mention a Laurel
Burch purse & backpack with a rainbow of colorful snakes on them)...glad it's not just me. :D I never thought of sharing them
with my snakes though...yours appear to enjoy a life of luxury.

You always take such amazing, cute photos. The jewelry gives it a nice touch, these pictures are just so adorable. Are they both females or do we have some fabulous boys trying out some jewelry? :P

That is amazing!!! My whole family loves your photos! They always want to know when you post more

Did I just Google to see what the colorful Laurel Burch snake print looked like? :snake: Yes, yes I did.
I typically wear jewelry pretty sparingly, and I prefer small and understated ... which most snake jewelry is not, lol, so a lot of it ends up just being collected rather than seeing much actual use. With that said, I do have a few favorite pieces, including the two opal bracelets that my BPs are "holding" in the last two pics. They're not exact matches for color, and the head shapes are hardly accurate to species, but I like to think of them respectively as the "Iggy bracelet" and the "Ravus bracelet" - versions of them that I can safely bring along for an evening out!

Aw, thank you so much! They're both boys, just getting in some glamour time. ;) I originally told myself I'd stick with only male BPs, so they'd be smaller to handle and to house at adult size. But now I eagerly anticipate them growing bigger, and catch myself thinking, a female BP would be alright ... or maybe even a boa constrictor someday ...

Thank you, reading this made me so happy! I'm glad that all of you enjoyed these. The fact that your whole family is cool with snakes is just generally awesome, too. My family is the same way, and it makes it a delight to share the full experience of being a doting ball python parent, lol!

I’m the same way. I got two boys because they don’t get that big. Now I’m looking at females or boas because they are a little bigger lol. Guess I had to get comfortable with them before I got a bigger one

Hahaha! I'd have a lot of trouble wrangling a snake THAT big for photoshoots! :rofl:Luckily, the above couch - as well as this one here -

- are just artfully upholstered jewelry boxes. The BPs seem to find them pretty comfortable, honestly. Over the course of the photo session, Iggy gradually expanded sideways until he'd pushed all the jewelry pieces off and was just lounging on his own, so I let him relax there while I was putting everything else away.

Thank you for the encouraging words! I've got a little bullet point list of other photo ideas I'd like to try down the line, though success level may vary. Lucky for me, at least ball pythons will usually hold still for poses; I imagine I'd be struggling a lot more if I was trying to get colubrids to cooperate!

This is like the Laurel Burch "back pack" that I have for slinging snakes on a shopping trip, lol... how could I resist? :D

I have some of her snake jewelry too, a necklace with multiple snake 'drops' & earrings (that I don't wear) to match.

We'd better watch out, or we'll be checking out burms and retics next! :D

Love the metallic accents! Darn it, this definitely makes me want to look for an everyday-use bag that has a cool snake design on it.

Or you can get some fabric paints & add your own...snakes aren't very complicated to draw. ;)
I have a large carry-all for my gear that I take to the pool...I got some fabric paint and added a happy green water snake to the front of the black bag, lol. :snake:
(btw, I couldn't find a pic of the L.B. purse that I have for "everyday use"- but it's far less obvious, not her usual bright colors, more coppers/browns on
beige, with lizards & all kinds of animals, not just snakes.)
-
Your snakes are so beautiful and I love your creative photoshoots! These royal pythons are clearly living a life of luxury :)

Aha, I like the way you think. Customized/personalized snake bags! The "happy green water snake" sounds so cute!
