    Anticipation
As the days near on my first of 2 clutches for the year. My anticipation and curiosity keeps building. Currently on day 50 at 89* F and I’m starting to feel impatient. I was good up until the last couple days. Momma made some great looking little enchis last year, getting excited to see what’ll pop out this year. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...edcd8c4954.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0d4a9b27cc.jpg BTW she’s back up over 2000g since laying. She was 2625g right before laying when full of eggs. And this is her second clutch at 4 years old.

My second bred female should be laying any time now. She is 5 year old 1550g pastel het clown on her first clutch, she is on day 32 after prelay shed. And liking very uncomfortable. Hopefully the odd gods will be in my favor with her clutch as she was bred by an enchi lesser het clown. The same male that bred the enchi girl. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d911b35369.jpg

I’m just getting excited and had to share,

Little girl laid last night!!! 4 good eggs with string veins. They look so huge compared to her. She was ~1500g pre lay and 1000g post lay. Mid July, can’t wait to see what pops out and see if the odd gods are in my favor with both being het clown.

I definitely agree, the waiting is horrible. Especially the last couple weeks. The first month isn’t so bad as you know it’ll be a while. 7 more days on the first clutch. And starting to get a little excited and antsy. Can’t wait to see what pops out. I’m hoping for a super enchi female to hold back. Depending on what pops out, it’s how many females will I want to hold back with a 50% chance of het clown in them.

This morning the first baby was out and about. With a few others blowing bubbles. Hopefully more will be out when I get home tonight.

    Thanks!
I’m really in a toss up at the moment. Could be a high quality single gene enchi, or a lower quality super enchi. The eye bands are a lot more expanded than the single gene enchis I have. But not as much or as much banding reduction as I expected for a super. If it’s female I’ll likely keep it, especially if it has the het clown tail marker. But I’m not positive yet.

Yep, that's what I was seeing too. It looks more reduced than just enchi but not as much as I'd suspect for a super. Maybe once you have siblings to compare it to it will become clearer.

Great looking little snake either way. Congrats!

They’re slowest working on there escape. Two more heads out. One was coming out, but backed back in when I opened the tub.

These little ones sure are taking their time coming out. An enchi and a lesser so far. Hopefully tonight those other two will be out. I’m afraid that one in the upper right may have died, as the egg fluid has gone hazy and there is an odor in the tub. But I’m not positive. If it doesn’t start coming out by the time the rest are out, I’ll cut the opening a bit bigger and take a better peak. Hopefully I’m wrong.

More have popped out and all have heads out now. That one is alive, so glad for that. And one has a head pattern I didn’t expect from this pairing. Any guesses before it pops all the way out? Enchi lesser het clown to an enchi. So far I have 1 enchi, 2 lessers, 1 enchi lesser. More updates in the morning

All but the clown have come out of their eggs. Looks like I got 1-enchi, 2-lesser, and 2-enchi lessers. I like the really light colored one. I’m excited to see how the colors shift after their shed.

That surprise baby came out last night. It looks like an enchi clown to me. I guess that means that my enchi girl is Het clown. A great surprise I wasn’t expecting. So all the others would be 66% het clown. And all the babies I got from her are 50% het clown, so now I have a female coral glow and male CG enchi to prove out from last year.

Left to right in the picture looks like I got: enchi lesser, enchi, lesser, super enchi lesser, lesser, and enchi clown on bottom.

Whether male or female, looks like I have two I’ll be holding back. I’m hoping the luck will keep holding with the super enchi lesser being female and the enchi clown being male.

All the babies have shed out and been sexed. Ended up with 1.0 enchi, 0.2 lesser, 1.0 enchi lesser, 0.1 super enchi lesser, and 0.1 enchi clown. Couldn’t be happier with the results from this clutch. I’ve decided the super enchi lesser and enchi clown will be staying. More girls never hurt. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d84ac94fa4.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...29edc4e76f.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...e9eb998c17.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...5c1af223c0.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0dd801d73c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2f4b5e5cfb.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...fa9f5a43c7.jpg

Really nice clutch man! Not only did you luck out with good odds, you proved an animal you didn't even know was her and you got females for the best two so you get hold backs. Congrats!

30 days to go on clutch 2 and they’re still looking great. Same sire on these ones and a pastel het clown female. These eggs are huge compared to the first clutch. An average of 120g each compared to 80g each from the first clutch. With one being noticeably longer than the others. I’m curious to see if the babies come out larger.

Btw, 2 of the first babies to a FT rat pup as a first meal. I was surprised by that one. I didn’t expect anything but figured I’d give it a shot and see what happened.

I am new to this site and is my first time breeding ball pythons! My eggs are on day 68 and i cut them on day 57 as i was to go on holiday that day and just come back today. My parents were looking after the eggs while i was away and it seems like they let the temperature drop a bit while i was away. Ive come back and checked on them and 2 of the snakes are not very responsive but eventually do move and also their yolk (gunk) has gone a funny colour. I was wondering if you guys think they will be okay and also how long is it till i should be expecting them.
All replies will be much appreciated

Here’s an updated pic of the babies from clutch 1 of 2. So far they’re at 3 or more meals. With that little enchi boy being voracious. He’s gonna be a hard one to part with. I wouldn’t mind if he didn’t sell. But need need in another enchi male when I already have an enchi banana 50% het clown and an enchi lesser het clown male.
But I’m loving the colors of all the babies. With 4 more eggs due to pip in a few more days.

I love the super enchi lesser too, her color and pattern makes me think of desert camo. I was hoping for a more fully wrapped eyeband, but I can’t complain at all. Hopefully in a couple years I can also prove her out her for clown too. I can believe how much all their colors got bolder the last couple weeks since their first shed.

I look forward to seeing what you have pipping soon. What did you pair up?

GHI het desert ghost x super cinny

I'm just hoping to get a nice looking male and female ghi cinny. My odds are pretty good but I'm going to need some luck getting ones that are het because obviously it's a 50/50 shot and I won't be happy if I grow out a female for 3 years and then not get any visuals when I put one of my visual DG boys to her lol. I usually don't even mess around with anything less than 100% het but I didn't have any plans for the super cinny and I love GHI cinny so I figured I'd take a shot and hope my hold backs turn out to be het. I'm really hoping they will have some kind of marker but I'm pretty sure that's not going to be the case and my hold backs will just be going for random luck lol.

Second and last clutch for the year has started to pip yesterday. This morning a couple were almost out of their eggs. The first one that’ll be out looks to be a pastel. Not positive yet if that’s all as it was dark in the room when I checked.

I’ve already started a pairing for next season. My mystic girl just hit size and is eating well, so I started pairing my enchi lesser with her. Hoping for a couple of karmas from the pairing. Hopefully she’ll go this next year.

No pictures yet as I’m waiting for them all to come out of there eggs. But first out is a pastel. The other three were about halfway out. So I ended up with 2 pastels, 1 lesser, and 1 enchi lesser pastel from this clutch.

So for my 10 eggs for the year I ended up with: 1 enchi, 3 lesser, 1 enchi lesser, 2 pastel, 1 super enchi lesser, 1 enchi clown, and 1 enchi lesser pastel. I’m happy with that for this season.

All were out this morning. And one of the pastels looks to be an enchi pastel. I love the head stamp on the 3 gene animal. I’m looking forward to seeing how their colors shift when they shed.
And these are fat babies compared to the first clutch. 80g hatch weight vs 60g. And from a smaller female at that
