Spring flowers
-
I see your Spring is much more advanced than mine here in New England!
Right now we have only the earliest bloomers and most of our trees don't even have leaves yet!
Looks gorgeous though! Love the stringy looking purple ones (2nd from bottom).

Right!?!?? I'm just starting to see some of my perennials poke through the soil.
My trees are still bare. It's been chilly lately, but the on again/off again rain is helping. My lawn needs mowing.

Man I would love to have your job and skills, thanks for sharing. Back in the day I was crazy about boas, we have a lot in common my friend. Lmao.

Re: Spring flowers
Thanks everyone.
We had one of the warmest Aprils since records began so all the trees and flowers have burst early this year, we didn't have much rain at all in April, which is really unusual for the uk

What is your average yearly rainfall there? We've had a wet year here so far...we've already had half of our average yearly total, with a lot of rain coming tonight
& in the coming days. I've been busy in my yard lately, getting everything mowed & trimmed...I love my rechargeable-battery (Neuton) mowers, but they don't do
very well in wet grass.

I’m over here in Chicago (cook county). We had a couple of beautiful days, was fortunate enough even to enjoy a bike ride. It hit low 70’s. I thought spring was here ....then the last two weekends it snows. Lmao

There's only a few trees with leaves on yet, the oakes Ash and chestnuts are still to open yet, it was only due to that warm spell in April that caused most of the maples, beech and birch to pop already

Had to take a picture of this wisteria looks amazing as usual every spring. it's well over a 100yrs old, it's just round the corner from me and spans two old cottage fronts that are over 200yrs old https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...57f2942251.jpg

Beautiful pictures, I'm jealous that a lot of you have spring already, up here in Canada we still have snow, though it is mostly melted away, we still have some days where it freezes. This time of year you never know what to wear, could be a winter coat one day and the next just a sweater. I plan on making my first vegetable garden this year as it is my first year/summer living in my new home, before that was crappy apartments with just enough yard to park. I'm just glad the -40 degree weather is gone. :)

Good luck with the garden...my bro & his wife used to live in Duluth MN & I can remember them complaining that by the time their garden plants got close to producing
their growing season ended...:( But be careful what you wish for, we have a long growing season in the South but the heat & humidity in summer are enough to make
you wilt. I don't think I could take the cold like you have, but it's all what you get used to.

I really don't think I could cope with - 40 that's for sure when it got to - 17 a few winters ago was bad enough, hope spring arrives soon for you

Lot's of things in bloom around here but your photos are magnificent...:gj: I shared them with a friend & she said "how come my photos never look like that?"
By the way, so far we're about 10" above normal rainfall here (ytd), so everything's growing like crazy.
