Forums are about to make a huge comeback

Well with all the facebook groups and such forums have gotten quiet. Well as of a few days ago, facebook has started to crack down on classifieds group and freezing them because of live animal sales, people are going to have to find new places.

I hope that bodes well for this & other good forums. I pay ZERO attention to FB, so I'll take your word for it.

I have heard many complain about the excessive drama on FB though...let's hope they leave that where they found it.

Yea, all the groups that sell animals are getting frozen. I only know because one of the venomous groups I used randomly vanished.

I hope so. Forums like TBC need to come back.

Yeah I just learned today actually that Facebook frowns upon all the selling I did not know that.

They always have. They've just been a lot more forceful about enforcing it in the last week.

You can still advertise and sell on your own business page, just not in a group.

Yeah they've locked at least 15 groups that I know of.

Some Facebook groups are horrible, and censor anyone with a differing opinion. The tortoise forum Facebook group is so bad that some people have made fun of it on actual tortoise forum.

Recently? One member got banned from a group for saying cypress mulch wasn’t toxic.

I’m fine with that personally. Facebook is a decent marketing platform, but the animal sales on there are crazy, with people auctioning off animals like grandmas bedroom set. Lol

And the animal “groups” are often run by douchereybaggers.

yes! i welcome our new FB overlords.

my head is spinning...my favorite classifieds group moved to mewe or whatever. thankfully i'd already planned on redoing my website this week to include our snake and geckos for sale.
