Selena Gomez and Other Artists/Bands You Didn't Like But Now Do
ok i didn't like the earlier work of former Disney star Selena Gomez. it was just too tween and pop but she's warmed up to me w/ some of her newer songs. i remember first hearing Wolves on the radio and thought it was really good. i didn't realize it was her until she performed it on the AMA's or something and i was like "Oh, that was Selena Gomez?! i like that song!" it's not annoying at all. it's smooth and catchy but not bubblegum pop and well written and produced.
here's Wolves by Selena Gomez & Marshmello.

what song or album turned around your opinion on an artist or band? maybe it's just 1 song? or maybe they're your fav now.

here's another one - Young Blood by 5 Seconds of Summer. it's the only song of theirs that i like tho. i think they're just as bad and forced as the Jonas Brothers but this song is really good.

Oh, I love Selena Gomez, but not for her music... Which isn't to my taste. Selena herself, very much to my taste!
I watched that awful movie, what was it... Spring Breakers, just because she was in it. Sorry to say, I'm not sure she elevated it much... Probably beyond her or anyone's abilities.

She was linked to Bieber for a long time. There's no coming back from that.

If I didn't like them then, I don't like them now.

The fact that I love hard rock, a lot of people are surprised when I like some other music. I’ve just got thing where I love when the artist writes what they sing. Way to much music is just singers purchasing words from random writers. U don’t get the passion from the song the way u do when a singer is feeling what they are saying.

I feel ya!!! I prefer real artists over glorified karaoke singers.

How about bands that I can’t get into no matter how many times I hear them?
Korn- Every song sounds the same
Rage Against The Machine- I don’t want politics mixed with my metal
Kid Rock- Has identity issues
Limp Bizkit- Just lame
There’s more out there I’m sure.

I'm definitely a Korn fan, but don't listen to them all that often anymore. When I do listen, it's usually the first 3 albums. Korn puts on a phenomenal live show.
I definitely see your point though. That's why I'm not an AC/DC fan.
RATM is one of my all time faves, and was my first concert in 96. I had to sneak out of my house cause my parents wouldn't let me go to a concert til I turned 18. Ssssshhhh...
Kid Rock is a talented artist, but I completely agree. Some of his stuff is actually really good, some is straight crap. I respect him more than I like him.
Limp Bizkit blew me away when their first album came out. And then the second was terrible, the third was somehow worse. I gave up then.

Taylor Swift, even her early stuff.
And after several years spent in northern MI I'm not nearly as opposed to country music anymore. Still not my first choice, but not awful.

x10 on AC/DC. If you have heard one of their songs, you’ve heard them all. Strange because they’ve had two lead singers.

i see what u guys are saying, but sometimes u cannot deny a vocal talent. case in point: Jerry Cantrell the lead Alice in Chains guitarist wrote alot of their lyrics and biggest songs, yet Layne Staley breathed life into them.
