I guess they really do all the funny stuff at night when you’re not watching. I just happened to peek in. Apparently I got an acrobatic bp. That is some impressive Velcro on the thermometer! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...7358eb9b5b.jpg

Lol that's some impressive adhesion on the thermometer! Very cute BP too!

My BP loves to climb on top of his digital thermometer as well. It's not secured so sometimes I'll find it knocked down in the morning. They really like to explore every inch of the enclosure :)

Please please take that out of your tank. I have had multiple snakes get the sticky part off and get it attached to the snake. Please NOTHING sticky ever goes in the enclosure! And those are crap and readings are off.

What hygrometer do you recommend? How should it be attached?

Yeah, unfortunately those analog thermometers and hygrometers are junk. They're wildly inaccurate.

Many of us, myself included, use Accurite brand thermometer and hygrometers. You can find them online or at Wal-Mart for about $10.
I have 2 in each enclosure.

It's still nice to know you have such a creative little one...;)

Incidentally, this is why snakes find the tiniest weakness in their cages to escape: they have nothing better to do than to look
    & keeping trying things.

I’ve found mine like this at night before. She’s too fat to do it now though!

Velcro can be attached with either hot glue, or silicone (if you have the time to let it dry).

    Temporary housing....
My new baby corn snake which probably doesn't weigh but 20gr (I need a digital scale) is temporarily in this large tote until I can get the aquarium I want for her. The unsightly box on top, weighing probably about 3 lbs, is to keep it weighted down. I act as if there's an anaconda in there but I'm that way because I'm excessive when it comes to making sure there are no escapes. ;)
What is something not so unsightly that others use on top of totes? I always like things that are very aesthetically pleasing for me and the snakeshttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...6461948e46.jpg

    Books...remember those? lol....

The only thing I've ever used similar plastic containers for is to hibernate snakes in, & I obsessively used binder clips all around.

When you just weigh down the lid in the center, plastic lids often have enough give that a persistent snake can push up an edge
    somewhere...:snake:

without fail my little girl will sling herself around the suction cup that fixes a fake plant on the side of her enclosure... I always find it knocked down. Eventually I might just leave it out and replace it with a ledge that's sturdy so if she wants to climb she won't knock anything down bahaha

Mine always did that until I took it off because I was afraid it would fall and stick on him.

I'm loving all the creative climber snakes in this thread :D Looks like they really will use any kind of enrichment they can find in their enclosures.
