    Bit of sad news
Well big Jim my 9 yr old albino jungle boa was found dead this afternoon in his viv, his tail had healed really well from the abscess and he only shed last week, eaten two weeks ago and my son even had him out yesterday as he
Was cruising non stop Round the viv
So I’m not sure why, there’s no more
Snakes at his house so I don’t need to worry that it
Was something contagious, such a shame as his markings and personality was outstanding, rip big Jim

    Oh that's a shame, I'm so sorry for your loss...such a nice boa! :(

How long ago did he have surgery for the abscess? I wonder if the "cruising non-stop" was any sort of clue...?

    Rich,

That's terrible news. I am very sorry. My deepest condolences.

It's tough losing a friend. My thoughts are with both of you.

    Thanks bogertophis
He had it November and had all but disappeared, he normally does it when hungry and wasn’t due till next week
    So really don’t know

That's a plenty long time for any meds from the surgery to be out of his system. I know it's always hard to know if "constant cruising" is a normal thing or significant
of other discomfort...snakes are just so hard to read! But 9 years sure wasn't old...so sorry.

Sorry man, that’s really sad [emoji22] Sounds like you gave him a good life while he had it though. Many animals spend their lives barely surviving poor care and not enjoying life. Take solace in that you did everything you could and he was well taken care of. Sometimes things just happen that are out of our control. Hopefully nothing like this ever happens to you again [emoji1695]
