    1000 Words....
This is the first time my 1.1 ball pythons have ever spent any time in the cage with any other snake. Temps have been down for the past couple of weeks, and look what's goin on here:

I'm kinda excited! I've never bred these guys before and this is just one step towards doing that.

Will I need to keep introducing them to each other or is one lock-up all that she will need to produce eggs?

The male is probably around 1000 grams and the female fluctuates around 1700 grams. This is her 3rd winter by the way.

Yes it is (a 50% poss het albino hatched at 8ballpythons in case anyone else was wondering)

Be nice if my female turns out to be het for albino too and I see a white face poppin out of an egg next spring...but thats a stretch so we'll see how I do these normals for starters.....

YAY! I am happy for ya. It must be so awesome to finally see this happening. When I read your title at first, I was thinking "What? In cage with other snake??"
I can't wait to feel the joy of snake-breeding... next year..

Their little romp lasted about 36 hours. Not bad for both of them being their first time and all. He lasted wayyy long than I did my first time, lol....

Both took a meal after a day of seperation. I'm wondering if I should keep feeding the female. At what point do you stop offering food?

(this thread is probably looking like it should be moved to BREEDING forum...)

Since your cycling temps, make sure that if you're going to feed that you go way smaller than usual on the prey size ... it will be easier for them to digest smaller food items with less heat available.

This year I am offering food every other week or so until about December ... then I'll probably take a month off of feeding the breeder ... then rest everyone for a week around new years and try and feed ... then January off food ... then Fed back to every other week ... then March back to normal ... a little different than how I've done it in the past, but I like to experiment.

Don't feed them so much that they focus on food and not breeding ... with the temp drops, they really shouldn't be full of food to digest anyway.
