    I’ve wanted to try oils, but haven’t yet. Many years ago I tinkered with both acrylics and water colors. Lots of fun even if nobody saw them but me. ;)

    If you want to get an idea of what your art is worth, buy a booth at a local art show, generally $100 or less. You'll get a lot of feedback and won't have to pay a commission. Gallery commissions run 40-60%. I was in the art business several moons ago.
